Hello everyone!
I'm a brand new Warhammer 40k player, I got into the tabletop after a small visit to a GW store, where a really nice guy gave me an unpainted marine. I wanted to play a Blood Angels army, but I've recently heard that they're not all too good, nevertheless, I will give them a shot. I'm a bit short of cash at the moment but I plan my first purchase to be a set of paints (I already have mephiston red) and the Blood Angel "Start Collecting" set. I have a few questions about the blood angels army, but I have still to read the codex, so once I do that, I will ask away if I still have any doubts. First of all, however, I would like to meet some awesome people and have an overall good time. Great to meet you all.

Welcome to dakka! Im a blood angels player my self and they do fine so dont get discouraged. The fun part is playing what you like so go for it!

I am firm believer in picking the faction you want to play. The wheel of fate is always turning. What once was last may be first. Chasing the best is both fleeting and expensive. For many, it also leads to heartache as they grow tired of running on the treadmill chasing it. You stick with an faction or army you enjoy playing and you will be much more able to face any changes the game throws at you.
