I dint have the dark angel book and was wondering if a vet Sargent can use a combi plasma and a power sword or should I model a plasma pistol? Thanks in advance!

You might as well take two Combi-Plasma. With how long I'd expect a Tactical Marine to live, it'll serve you better.

Yes, you can upgrade to have both a combi-weapon and a power sword. A lightning claw would be a suggestion as well - since you're losing the bonus attack as you're traded in the pistol, a Specialist melee weapon doesn't have a downside.

As Slayer-Fan points out though, that's now an expensive 1W model with no invuln. Is this for an assault squad, a tactical squad or a dev squad?
