So I've wanted to start getting into chaos daemons, mainly to supplement my CSM's and renegades, but have thus far stuck to a mostly nurgle theme, with a bit of slannesh thrown in. I want to run Pandemoniad of Tzeentch with the Lorestealer Host and Heralds Anarchic, but I got to say as a devout of papa nurgle, Im not sure I want to use the Tzeentchy models. So, i have an idea.

Heralds: Plague bearers standing on screamers
Blue Horrors: Nurglings painted blue (sickly blue *cough*)
Blue Scribes: Blue Nurglings on a screamer?

Do you think this is fair? Any ideas on how to make them look a little more like what they're suppose to represent?

I would have no issues with it..

But that being said I know I loved that army that guy did, that was just polystyrene cubes partly melted and painted as Tzeentch daemons =D

This is a rare case where it would be LESS confusing to use models from other ranges, other manufacturers, or lots of greenstuff/modelling clay.

Demons encourage creativity, so I'd suggest doing it as you like, and not restricting yourself to just official GW daemon parts.

Personally, I'd suggest keeping them all Nurgle, just with appropriate equivalents to what the Tzeentch special models have.

What about a plaguebearer [with a staff instead of a sword] standing on a flying/hovering palanquin? The palanquin-cum-disc could be made in any number of ways - a tau drone with spikes and chains, or a big ol' rotor like the Blight Drones have, or a flying lizard/insect [smaller than the plague drones].

Squigs would make some cool Pink Horrors. Use the ones that come with the Squig Herders - not the Mangler squigs.

Blue scribes could easily be represented along the lines of the discs. Maybe a plaguebearer or squig or what have you [Nurglings, imo, wouldn't fit well here] standing on a floating platform with racks of mysterious liquids or a cauldron of putrid remains, cooking up new diseases.

Don't forget to browse other miniatures manufacturers/retailers. You may find things that help bridge the gap for you.
