My Black Templar can't get into combat for crap against the armies at my local game store, so I want to expand my Khorne army and try to get into combat asap and hit hard. As always I love any criticism and I know the gorepack is awesome but I'm pretty sure 90% of Khorne players use it so I don't want it...also I hate bikes lol.

Slaughter Cult
HQ - Juggerlord with Axe of Khorne, Sigil of Corruption, and Melta Bombs

2 units of 2 Chaos Spawn

Possessed in Rhino

4 units of blood letters, all with leader upgrade and two with instrument upgrade

Brazen Onslaught

2 units of Bloodcrushers, both with banner and leader upgrades

2 units of Chaos terminators, a chainfist and 2 power axes with combi meltas for both squads

Triple War Machines

3 Maulerfiends

I'm still new to Khorne Daemonkin and 40k in general but I enjoy the idea of MSU and Blood Tithes with the possibility locking my down annoying units asap. The terminators are my Anti Vehicles along with the triple mauler fiends. I might switch my out a maulerfiend for a soul grinder or just ignore any air they bring lol. Can't shoot me if I'm in combat right? . Maybe swap the cutters for tendrils since I do have the deep striking terminators. Also the blood crushers are there to help the blood letters and whatever else deep strikes to stay close to the fight the best they can. I'm sure this list has been posted before or a better version but I couldn't find one without the larger daemon models or without the gore pack. Sorry if this post looks bad, I'm typing it on my phone and autocorrect doesn't like 40k names

Gorepack over brazen, you'll find crushers just aren't survivable enough for him being points, where as giving hounds HoW is awesome. Plus the bikes get meltas and melts bomb

yeah the crushers aren't worth their points most of the time. I would recommend a gorepack too but as you mentioned you wanted to avoid the always used gorepack I would recommend a unit of chaos spawn as a retinue for your Chaos lord, which should take a powerfist and lightning claw or powerfist and Axe of Rhuin if you can squeeze in the points for it.

soulgrinders are superbe so if you can fit in one or two that's gonna be very worthwhile.

I've never actually seen anyone try to take the Brazen Onslaught outside of Dave from Miniwargaming (it didn't work out very well - but that's on a single datum).

If you run the math on how many wounds you get from an equivalent point cost of Flesh Hounds of Khorne vs. Bloodcrushers, it's not even close. The AP3 is nice, but you get that from all your blood letters. As Ecdain indicated, the Gorepack is what most people take instead. Alternatively I like the Charnel Cohort because Skullcannons are fantastic.

Outside of that, the list looks good.

yea I know flesh hounds are better than bloodcrushers. I suppose it I can find a model replacement for the bikes and keep it Khorne related I would switch to gorepack.

I have two soul grinders but I didn't know if they would fit well in this list or not.

I'm going to look into the charnel cohort right now

Also wouldn't you think the opponent would be shooting at the maulerfiends instead? Also if anyone has an alternative that is better without the gorepack, please share. I want to make sure I have THE list before buying the rest of the models

What HQ do you take in the Charnel Cohort? If daemon prince do you take goredrinker or bloodforged armor?

I had similar thinking in wanting to us only daemons and I actually am torn between two idea for this, one is to use chaos knight horses instead of bikes(I did this for my cyclopia cabal sorcerers). The other is hilarious, replace the csm rider and have the bikes being ridden by bloodletters instead(the ones off blood crushers work great cause they in a good position for riding). It's great cause it looks like daemons jacked the bikes and just ran wild.

Bloodletters on bikes? That sounds amazing!

There are good reasons why everyone takes a gorepack, especially for a list like the one you're trying to make. They're fast, cheap, and deliver just the right amount of punch with decent survivability.

Another thing to think about is switching to a CAD so you can bring Heldrakes with BftBG. Tithe factories!
