So I decided to pick up the Rehati War sect and I decided to run Magnus and three daemon princes. My question is what should the theme be? Back when I had a list with 4 princes I speculated the idea of one prince for each element, fire, wind, water, earth and magnus being the other. I also thought about the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse. Problem is that I only want three princes. So what should their theme be? I thought about Loki Thor and Odin. Hades, Poseidon and Zeus ( with magnus being chronos). I thought about YUGIOH and going with Obelisk, Slifer and Ra or Raviel, Uria and Hamon. Maybe the idea of the sun and moon, one prince is the moon one is the sun and the other being the eclipse? Ideas?

Well, the Thousand Sons are scholars. Maybe base it off something related to knowledge?

The Greek god idea is pretty cool. If you want to avoid using the exact names of Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades, you can try looking up their names in another language. Alternatively, you can name them off the titans themselves (since they have some pretty cool names as well).

Could try Egyptian gods. Would be an interesting modeling project what with the animal heads and all, and the 1K Sons already have the whole Egyptian Sorcerers IN SPACE thing going on. EDIT: Or Hinduism. It also has a sort of Trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva that hasn't been overdone to death yet

I would go for Egyptian deities, considering the thousand son's theme.

The right ornamentation (probably from a Tzeentch players bits box) can get the Egyptian theme going. Not sure where to find the parts, but a hawk (or bird/LoC), canine and head dressed heads will look like Ra/Horus, Seth and Osiris (or generic).

If you do go down the Egyptian gods route (since it seems like a good idea), you could try conversions.
If you can afford the expense, Fateweaver and Lords of Change have bird heads.
There's also the Tomb King kits if you want to do conversions. Ushtabi have canine heads, and if you want a somewhat human head for Osiris, the Necrosphinx can provide that. the extra bits can be used for extra stuff if you want to add it, like extra arms, armor, and skulls.

Its hard to be awesome, when your playing with little plastic men.
Welcome to Fantasy 40k

If you think your important, in the great scheme of things. Do the water test.

Put your hands in a bucket of warm water,
then pull them out fast. The size of the hole shows how important you are.
I think we should roll some dice, to see if we should roll some dice, To decide if all this dice rolling is good for the game.

I definetly dog the Egyptian God theme.

I'd browse some DnD based miniatures for heads as they host many anthropomorphic creatures. Gnolls and Werewolves in 28mm usually have larger than standard that may suit a DP. You'll probably cut into the body a bit so you could just cover it with a green stuff or small chain gorget/collar.

Regarding the others I'd roll with either some type of Bird, Alligator, or Lion head and green stuff a neck piece.

The neck piece you could even put a small ankh on the front of it.

how about a combo theme, I see 4 demon princes and the first thing I think of is well, naturally eneugh, the 4 horsemen, so... rather then just generic 4 horsemen..

go with egyptian gods associated with the 4 horsemen..

So you have Sekhmet (Pestilance) http://www.ancientegyptonline.co.uk/sekhmet.html
Anhur (War) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anhur
Anubus (Death) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anubis
a famine egyptian god would be hard to define, as generally the entire concept of the egyptian pantheon consisted of "worship the gods, appease the gods, and they shall make the nile rise at the proper time, and bring fertility to the land.
that said I'd reccomend Khnum http://www.ancientegyptonline.co.uk/khnum.html as there is a story of him lifting a famine when he was finally appeased.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Thank you guys for the help! Problem with the Egyptian Fogs is that I dont really like the aesthetic and because I think its a bit overdone. I still feel like I could make the Greek God thing work.

In the spirit of the Gathering Storm series, I think you should base it on the unholy triumvirate of herp, derp & rage.
