Hi all.
Long time reader, first time contributor here. I've been on the perifery of the hobby for many years, painting just the odd model here and there, but this is the first time I've made a concerted effort to put together an army so I'll be posting here for motivation and documentation. I'm really enjoying the process so far, but I'm pretty slow so updates should be fairly casual.

So here's where I'm up to:

Great Unclean One
Made from the Maggoth Lord kit, greenstuff and a bunch of wires, he's had a bunch of alterations and has been a bit stop start, but I'm nearly there. Just need to paint all his claws and horns, paint his base, rust pigment up his sword and then varnish.

Daemon Prince
A Rot Fly and Maggoth Lord rider conversion. Happy with the model, but missed a couple of mould lines so had to scrape off some of the primer and I'm not happy with the base coat either so I might strip him. Not sure. This guy is going to be a nightmare to paint I can already tell!

Plaguebearers
Finished! Painting these guys makes me happy, I'm looking forward to painting more.

WIP shot:

Other stuff to do:
Herald of Nurgle - assembled, primed, based
3x Nurglings - on sprues
3x Drones - on sprues
10x Metal Plaguebearers - including icon bearer, musician and champion, untouched so far, will probably be the next in line.

Thanks guys!

Edited to get rid of the spoilers, no real need.

Love the double headed plaguebearers and the colour variation in the unit. Can't wait to see you throw some paint on that GUO.

If you scroll down through the spoiler you'll see he's actually almost finished, I just stuck in some earlier wip photos to show the process a bit.

So remember when I said I was slow? Turns out trying to move house isn't speeding things up! Here's my progress:

I finished my Great Unclean One. A little disappointed with how the varnish just ate up the rust pigments. I may go back to that at some point but for now I'm leaving it, I'm otherwise really happy with him.

Painted some nurglings! Took a little while getting all the different colours in there but I like how they've turned out. Still need to varnish them, will do matte all over with gloss horns and gory bits like with the other models.

Aaaaand here is my little "army" so far. Not much but its actually my first legal 40k army since 2nd edition so I'm really pleased with it.

Next up is a Herald of Nurgle. He's only a big plaguebearer so hopefully he wont take long!

Slowly trying to make time to progress the Daemonprince.

Finished the daemon prince (for now - I'll probably add some pattern or something to his carapace at some point in the future) and converted another herald from spare Nurgle herald parts and some Blightking parts, what a great kit for conversions!

The Herald:

And another progress shot of my army so far:

I've got another unit of 10 plaguebearers basecoated and my metal plaguebearers cleaned up (although I seem to have lost one) so those will come next.

I like that giant bell for the herald.

The giant bell is a nice touch indeed, fits the model perfectly.

Its been a little while since I last posted, so thought I'd do a quick update. Not done a huge amount, but its something.

Done a bunch more plaguebearers, think I'm finished with them for a while:

This second lot still need a varnish:

I've started on some Death Guard too, converted up a predator (I've started base coating too but not much to see yet):

And I've got a Dark Imperium Death Guard squad ready to prime, made some adjustments to the champion, just waiting on the easy to build kit to buy and repose/re-equip:

Aaaand finally a full army update complete with WIPs, pretty happy with how they look together:

Lots more to do!
