Hey, I play with a group of guys who play tau, eldar, and IG, and one chaos player who is sad like me, the guard player obviously has a ton of tanks, the eldar has bike spam, and the tau player has riptide spam, do you guys have any advice to what should i change or add? Thanks! ( I don't like warbikes). I put the big mek and 10 tank bustas in the kill bursta, warboss/mega armour goes with one of the boyz in a trukk and plows ahead, the MANZ missile plows forward trying to distract some fire, hoping this this gives enough threat for my mek gunz and kill bursta to rain down hell.

If the warboss goes with the meganobz you would have to many points in that trukk which means all the megarmors on foot in turn 1. Stick the warboss to some unit of boyz (take only 10 man squads including the nob) or put the megarmors in a battlewagon.
Split the lootas into 2 units, you have the slot available.
Drop some boyz (and maybe some loota) in order to take only min units and increse the size of the lobba squad.
Other than that list looks good

I edited the list taking into account some of your suggestions, I dropped the boyz down to 10 in each trukk total (including nob), I also dropped a few lootas and added 2 kannons, is this over kill on mek gunz? or can you just never have enough? (most I've ever fielded is 3). Thanks for the response Blackie!

Hey!
Drop the 2 kannons and split the lootas, 5 lobbas + 2x 5 lootas will be perfect
Drop the ammo runt on your MAWB, he already has a twin-linked shoota.
Give a bosspole to your MANz missile boss nob.
Give your trukk nobz shootas instead of sluggas if they have power klaws. I would drop the PK on one trukk where your MAWB will go. He already has a PK with rerolls, a PK on your nob is not mandatory IMO.
A nob with bosspole in your 10-busta squad could be helpful to mitigate morale.
Bomb squigs could be helpful vs riptides and tanks, not vs eldar bikes tho.
I'm assuming the mek goes with the lobbas.
All in all, that's my kind of list!

Alright so with getting rid of the kannons I have some extra points, what about investing in a big mek with da fixer upperz with boss pole to put in the kill bursta, or is it not worth it?

Riptides have 2+ armor save, maybe even a FNP, they're not an appropriate target for bomb squigs. Automatically Appended Next Post: Ashkayel wrote:

5 lobbas and 2x5 lootas are my typical heavy support choices

True, I was saying that because on air target vs land target. In that case bomb squigs aren't that worth it.
Regarding big mek, that could be a good idea. I've never fielded a Kill bursta, tho.

Yah I'm not sure either if a big mek will be worth the 60 points, It depends if it gets alpha'd off the table or not (which is certainly possible against the tau friend I play against). Thanks for the advice lads, it's appreciated, I think the list is ready to smash some fish heads together this weekend.

Awesome another Ork player that uses a Kill Bursta that thing has won me soooo many games i was practically undefeated!
But it sounds like you are facing some very varied opposition from a tank parking lot to a speedy eldar bike spam and then a monstrous creature spam you need something that would work in any scenario and thus i propose...
Bully Boyz formation. I don't own it myself but Ive seen most ork players swear by it as a TAC canopener. Roll those guys up with a kill bursta next to them and see what happens. Pack the killbursta with your tank bustas and shoot whatever is highest priority down while your battlewagons rush ahead to engage
With bully boyz and a smaller CAD you should be able to win until you get sick of winning and make your local meta great again!

Yah I haven't faced the tau player on a one on one battle yet, not sure how the tank bursta is going to hold up. It put the fear of god into the IG player when I faced him .
I've always wanted to run a bully boyz formation with a blitz brigade, it seems really good. The main problem with that is I'm only in possession of 3 mega nobs, and 2 battle wagons, so that's a giant investment for something I'm unsure I'd like the play style of ya know? But it is definitely something to look at after 8th is released and we see how things pan out, but for now I'll hold off.

lol my IG friend hates it with a passion when I bring my super heavy...yet he claims his shadowsword is no big deal lol
When that bursta kannon 7" blast hits an IG parking lot and rolls a 6 lol that's one of the best orky moments ever.

Bully boyz in trukks.
Best ork list without bikerd imo.
Otherwise... lose the rockits on the trukks. Likem on the koptas.

Bullyboyz is awesome but you have to build the entire list around them as they are a huge point sink and you need a MSU approach. Meganobz are also very vulnerable to Ap2 shooting and in close combat against other ap2 as they always strike at I1. If they lose their trukk turn 1 you're are in trouble, and popping three trukks is very easy for several armies.
You need many other trukks, single koptas, some shooty units, maybe a KFF or a VSG.
But the bullyboyz is indeed among orks' best choices, and actually meganobz are always been my fav ork unit since 3rd edition, I had great times playing that formation, now I'm currently playing a different list, but they're definitely worth a try .

Why rokkits off the trukkz? I feel like the big shoota is pointless, the odds of me ever not getting a snap firing shot are low to begin with, but when I do I think it's most of the time going to need to be into some armour, not infantry. Thats just my take on it though.

Always rokkits over big shootas, you probably won't fire anyway as trukks usually flat out, but if you have the possibility of shooting with those trukks some S8 shots can be handy while S5 are not needed as lobbas and bikes provide a ton of S5 shooting and in close combat you can kill anything that suffer from S5 shots. That's why big shootas are worse than rokkits. If the rokkits upgrade would have had a cost, then big shootas all the time, as you want your vehicles to be as cheap as possible but since you can switch big shootas with rokkits for free there's actually no discussion, always take rokkits

So it sounds like you need 3 things:
1) AP 2, High Strength for the Riptides.
2) Anti-Tank for the tanks.
3) Anti-cover for the Eldar Bikes.
I'm assuming at least one deathstar of the Eldar will be made invisible, unless they're Ynnari.
So with that in mind, I'd recommend the following:
1) Zzap guns with Grot Artillery. Lots of it. In a pinch, it can do anti-tank, but it's not that great at it. But it -is- great AP 2.
2) Da Vulcha Skwad - Deep strike multiple units of Stormboyz with power klaw's in 'em from nobs. Charge the tanks.
3) Skorchas. They're fast, they're cheap and they have heavy flamers. Also Lootas, since they get hordes of AP 4 shooting that will have a minimal loss from Invisibility.("Oh! I only hit on 6s? Well, I do have 30 dice. I'm gonna take a few out.")
As it is, when you face the bike army your trukks will last until his first turn. You can't count on them. Also you can't count on them for the tank fight. Or the Riptide fight.
I'm not a big fan of the rokkit launchas. They're hitting front armour of leman russes. You need a 5+ to hit and a 6 to glance. That ain't ideal. That means, on average, it takes 18 rokkits to cause a single glancing hit per round, or on average 72 rokkits to take out a single Leman Russ. Da Vulcha Skwad, on the other hand, hits rear armor when it charges. Expect the tanks to get smucked up. Automatically Appended Next Post: (But don't go out of your way to buy those models. A new edition is coming out and most of the tactics we suggest will be irrelevant then.)
