Picked up a few Nob boxes, and they came with 25mm bases. Issue- the Nobs themselves, overreach the bases.

I noticed that the Warboss for the AOS came with a 60mm base, and am really wondering if putting the nobs on a 40mm, and the Warboss on a 60mm might be the way to go. I'd like others opinions, before I start rebasing, and putting in effort on the wrong size base....

Scraping together some orks, want to know the base size. (25, 32, 40 for nobs, 60 for boss.) ?

thanks in advance.

32mm are the perfect size for orks nobz but since the original models have 25mm I'd go with the small ones. Ghaz has 40mm, the 60mm of the AoS warboss seems too big IMHO, I wouldn't give 50-60mm bases to orks.

The what bases are used discussion kinda flew out of the window a while ago. Its now whatever you like but most new infantry sized things appear to be on 32mm. So it makes sense to field them on those.

Nobz still come with 25mm bases but in all honesty they're the ones that really deserve the 32mm bases.

Reason being that Nobz are phyiscally bigger than Boyz; not just in lore but also in the models themselves. the 32mm bases really help signify that without putting them on the comically oversized 40mm bases.

As for Warbosses, I think Mega-Armor Warbosses (but not Ghaz, because he's still in the old scale) should go on 60mm, since if I remember the current Mega-Armor Nobz are on 50mm bases. Alternatively, Mega Armor Bosses on 50mm while Mega-Armor Nobz on 40mm.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Thanks all for the replies. 32mm it is, then.
