Hello everyone,

So to compliment my Astra Militarum army I will soon be adding a tempestus "Get started" set in there. Now I'm fairly anal about keeping things to lore so im asking for some advice from a fluff perspective that is going to influence my decision in colour scheme for these guys. We all obviously see tempestus represented in blue as a separate entity to Astra but as we know they can be used alongside. My paint scheme is cadians, usual khakis and green....is it standard to paint these guys up in cadian colours if attached to Astra? Not only to blend them in to the rest, but from a fluff perspective? Or should they remain their standard blue for identification or representation from a fluff perspective even if attached? I know inevitably this is "my choice" but I'd like to keep my scheme as close to fluff as possible whether I should have them cadians green or blue when accompanying cadians

hey, not sure if you have the militarum tempestus codex. but in there is all the information you want. to be honest its not worth it for like 5 units that are in it though.

But to answer your question, no. Militarum tempestus are separate elite attachments, and so have their own regimental colours, and history etc. So either pop in to your local GW and just browse colour schemes to choose in a Militarum Tempestus codex, or just google some.

that said nothing stopping you from painting them in cadian greens/khakis and calling them Kasrkin

There's like twenty different Militarum Tempestus paint schemes in their codex, and like the Space Marines and Imperial Guard that's just a small selection of the regiments of the Militarum Tempestus.

When you do paint them, I highly recommend NOT painting the armor trim a separate color from the armor. They look more like actual real world special forces rather than cartoonish action figures, which fits in better with the more realistic-looking Imperial Guard (well...most of the time anyways. If you got Mordian Guards then it's a whole different kettle of fish).

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.
