I just finished re-basing all my old marines and have a lot of 32mm bases left over. So I started re-basing my SoB army to 32mm as well.

Do you think in a pick up game or in a tournament setting this would be an issue?

Moreover, I still have around 2000 points or so of Harlequins not finished and was thinking of putting them on 32mm's as well. Any issue you see with doing them as well?

Cheers in advance,
SC

There are no more hard and fast rules.

Basically GW says you should base them on the bases that were supplied with the miniatures, but you can also base them on different sized based if they are appropriate to tyhat model. As such, I wouldn´t go about basing a single Sister of Battle on a 60mm round base (extreme example, I know), but 32mm should be fine. After all, I got mine without bases, and Space Marines, also power armour infantry, come with 32mm as standard nowadays as well. Using that as an example of appropriate size and looking at similar miniatures, 32mm for Sisters of Battle should be fine.

I certainly wouldn't object. I note Sisters of Silence come on 32mm bases. If we ever get plastic Sisters of Battle, I'd bet money on them making the jump as well.

Cheers all,

Was just making sure people would be of the same feeling and not mind to much (and yes I think if they ever redo SoB they will be 32mm like the SoS). I think 32mm looks way better. Still undecided on the harlies. Might model a couple and see before I decide.

Cheers for response,

I use 32mm bases for my grots. Helps me spread them out wider to minimize pie plate attacks (ie: makes them look more thematic). Your sisters will be fine on them.

GW has been putting Admech Electropriests and Techpriests on 32mms, Genestealers, Sisters of Silence..I think you're safe.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

I think they look better on 32mm and would not complain about it. Necrons, too.

Given that Sisters of Silence are 32mm, there's no problem with it in my mind.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

Given that canoness Veridyan is on a 32mm base, not really being any larger than a regular Adepta Sororitas model, is a nice confirmation of 'similar models on 32mm' as well.

power armor = 32mm. I bet if they ever give us plastic sisters they come on 32. personally if I ever get to the point that I need my space marines on 32mm though after looking at my options I am just going to glue my 25mm bases into upside down 32mm bases and call it a day i put to much work into the poses, bases and painting on them to do that many touchups.
