So, I've decided sometime in the future (when I'm less broke) I going to light my wallet and bank account on fire (buy a warlord titan). I love the paint style, but how the hell am I supposed to come up with something like that. I mean imperial guardsman is no problem, just select a camo scheme and go, tanks base coat with camo stripes etc. But the Titan decided to be special (and look amazing) and instead of wearing a camo scheme it wheres ... something. I have no idea what you call it (so I can;t google the scheme for inpsiration beyond warlord titan) and I cannot allow myself to take Forgeworld scheme, both out of thinking it's lazy and because it doesn't quite fit mine. I couldn't go for a legio style, because I decided, after Rojina and the Imperium had their issues and went seperates way (declared war on each other in the name of the Emperor) for a misunderstanind, the titan wasn't created for Legio.

"Enemies of the Imperium, hear me. You have come here to die. The Immortal Emperor is with us and we are invincible. His soldiers will strike you down. His war machines will crush you under their treads. His mighty guns will bring the very sky crashing down upon you. You cannot win. The Emperor has given us His greatest weapon to wield. So make yourselves ready. We are the First Kronus Regiment, and today is our Victory Day. " - Governor-Militant Lukas Alexander, Commander 1st Kronus Regiment

You could look up other giant robots for inspiration.

I would personally go looking into the gundam franchise as their vibrant colors (and the shape of Zeon mobile suits) fits the 40k universe aesthetic quite well.

Alternatively, Pacific Rim can offer some more muted, realistic robot colorings.

Failing that, maybe check out some real life war machines, specifically battle ships from WW2 and onwards Especially check out digital camouflage or Dazzle camouflage (which are a lot better than "normal" camouflage).

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

Very well, planning on going with a scout instead, partially because it's more tactical, but mostly so I can eat at least once a week.
