And there, at the end of all things, you will find what you have sought all this time.
And what you find there will appal you.
You will be named That-which-is-other. And Outsider. And Unclean.
For the seeking was the way and the end.
Res ipso. In and of its frightful self.
Turn then, and seek once again.
And they will know you by the trail of the dead.

Brilliant.
Evocative.
Fantastic paint and weathering, and suitably chilling text.
Bravo.

I agree. That is awesome. Love seeing models and paint that is understated (and brilliant) rather than "over the top".

Very nice looking Iron, I really like the bulky look you've given them.

Brilliant stuff. Are the models converted in any way? They look... beefier than normal marines.

Then comes along the frakking Spinosaurus who kills the T-rex, and the movie says "LOVE THIS NOW! HE IS BETTER" But...in your heart, you love the T-rex, who shouldn't have lost to no stupid Spinosaurus. So you hate the movie. And refuse to love the Spinosaurus because it is a hamfisted attempt at taking what you loved, making it TREX +++ and trying to sell you it.

I love IW, I have them. I collect them and I've trawled a LOT of IW blogs.
These are EXACTLY what I see in my head when I see Iron Warriors. Grizzled, sombre, gritty and solid.
Well done sir. Very. Well. Done.

Amazing work, exactly how I think of Iron Warriors. They were my first Chaos army many years ago and you are inspiring me to go back to them in 30k!
Again, amazing work on the entire army.

Coo, thanks everyone. These were a lot of fun to paint, and I've enjoyed the games I've been playing with them. I've always like infantry, and Iron Warriors do brutalised grittiness well. If you're interested in how I painted them, I did a step-by-step tutorial here.
CREEEEEEEEED, these are converted from Terminator bits in the main. As with the painting, I wrote a tutorial on Death of a Rubricist here, if you'd like a more detailed look.
