Just picked up the Start Collecting box for Flesh-Eater Courts.

For all the other Courtiers, Haunter & Infernal is made from the one kit that also makes the Horrors & Flayers.

At first I thought the Crypt Ghast Courtier was made from this kit also since its listed as a leader.

But while putting the Ghouls together, I saw that the leader can be made into a Crypt Ghast, which is also looks like the Crypt Ghast Courtier ? Am I missing something ?

So if I wanted to make the Crypt Ghast Courtier (which I do) I only have 9 ghouls left for my unit, since Courtiers are single models.

Should I just make Crypt Ghast Courtier from the Horrors/Flayers looking like the Crypt Haunter Courtier since they almost have the same stats and weapons?

You are right in that the infernal courtier and haunter courtier are built from the horror/flayer kit. The ghast courtier is built from the ghoul kit and is the size of a ghoul. If you built the ghast courtier out of the horror kit, it'd be way too big. They do make it so you only have 9 ghouls if you use the ghast as a courtier, which is a bit frustrating. My response was to get the extra bits to make one more ghoul off of ebay.

Yes, you are. It's a bit of a rubbish choice by GW. That being said there are a few conversion opportunities out there that you can explore depending on your skill level. Since the Ghoul kit comes with 2 heads and 4 arms for the Crypt Ghast you should have some bits left over to kit bash with other models easily.

I've seen a few people use the Necromancer model, and Elmir used the Plague Priest from the Plague Furnace kit (in the spoiler). Of course for that you need to have a spare Plague Furnace kit :p
Spoiler:

Similarly, Age of the Erstwood over on TGA made one out of the Slaughter Priest:

The conversion which I am planning for my Courtier is to use the Ur-Ghul model from the Dark Eldar range. It has the gaunt physique of the Crypt Ghouls but lacks the hair or bones so I'm going to add them in myself. I only just picked up the Ur-Ghul today but the proportions look pretty on point.

Hope this gives you some ideas!

The only difference in the kit is the unit sgt is on a 25mm circle while the Courtier is on a 32mm circle base. It's also the reason I've never assembled one, because I don't want a 19 strong unit :(

The product description doesn't say anything about a 32mm base being included for the Courtier.

I put the Ghoul King's head and arms on the Vampire Lord's body, and put the ghast courtier head and arms on the ghoul king's body.
Added the corpse on a spike from the horror kit on the back for good measure. Needs a bit of green stuff to make it all fit.

In the new Ghoul Box of 20, they include a 32mm bases for the Ghoul Ghast Courtier. If you look carefully in the instructions to build the Ghoul Ghast & Goul Ghast Coutier, you can see the base size difference and it says it by the base.
