Hey guys, I was wondering if I can get some input on the Storm Wardens I'm painting. For the base, I'm using Kantor blue, washed with Drakenhof Nightshade, layered with Kantor Blue, and highlight Caledor Sky. So far it looks kind of... bland. What would you guys recommend? I cant really find any guides online for this paint scheme

no idea how this would actually look, but for a possibly cool and different approach, you could paint all the armour some kind of silver metallic, then give it a few coats of drakenhof?

...I'm recommending this completely untested though, so I suggest testing it on something non-important first, in case it doesn't work out

...it's good to be green!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't Storm Wardens have silver lower legs, hands and shoulder pads? That'd break up the blue pretty well.

Had to take a few moments to remind myself what the Storm Warden scheme is (http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Storm_Wardens)

Sounds to me like your suggested colours might be coming up a little dark - I'd be aiming somewhere around Calgar Blue for the final edge highlight. Don't forget, you've also got the white greaves, gloves and knees (I know lots of Storm Warden pictures show them in silver, but the ones in my Deathwatch source books shows them white, which I prefer). I'd suggest starting at Administratum Grey, then layering up all the way to Space Wolves Grey, with extreme edge highlights only in Ceramite White. Some translation to the newest colours may be needed...

Do you have any pictures you could show us?
