Hello everyone,

I have a GW Demon Prince still on the sprue. For clarity it is not the resin kit called Chaos Space Marine Demon Prince with the DP sort of hunched over it is the one with the various front torsos, heads and giant hands or weapon options. I want to convert him to make a Demon Prince of Tzeentch for my Thousand Sons army with a lesser Lord of Change look. I plan on using the unarmored torso, with the chaos mark on the chest and the lightly armored arms which I will convert 1 to have a staff and use the stock sword just for aesthetics.

I am looking for good options for feathered wings in place of the leathery wings. Also i want to explore some cool options for bird like heads.

It is not meant to be a Lord of Change proxy or conversion rather a Tzeentch/ 1000 Sons themed Demon Prince to use with my Sekemet Conlave formataion.

In my bitz box I have a few head options though one vulture head is kinda derpy looking and might be a bit small and my 2 other options are from old school ral partha metal,

A black dragon head which I could convert. I would keep the horns but trim the scales. The shape of the mouth and neck are perfect, but scaly not feathery, not that it really matters. Also I have a wyvern head that I could trim the ears and leave the horns but it is more dragony than the others. Horns are fine as my Tzaangor warhead has horns and feathers.

I have dome some searching and seen some cool options though not sure where to find them as they were LOC conversion pics. I saw a Lord of Change conversion with some kind of phoenix wings that was cool.

Appreciate any help, ideas or even pics!

The plastic griffin from the island of blood (can't recall the new name), wings fit well, although the head might be a little on the small side.

The plastic Griffin head is quite large actually, about the same size as the DP's head (possibly a bit bigger). It is also completely attached to the body so some cutting will be needed.

If you want a smaller head, there is a beaked head in the Burning Chariot kit (one of three possible heads for the herald of tzeentch). Due to the weird proportions of horrors and how heralds are generally bigger than normal lesser daemons, the head actually fits quite well on a DP.

Finally there's the AoS Phoenix, which I think comes with an alternate head. It (like the griffin) comes with a massive set of wings too.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Those are great tips. I will check out the Isle of Blood. The Phoenix wings are what I was looking for a lead on so thank you for that.

The head from the chariot does fit nice and looks great though I am going to go with a more weird, ill proportion and terrifying head. I think the hideous bird head from the chaos spawn kit is another cool choice.

I did order a reaper vrock dirt cheap and think the head and wings will do good for a lightly armored DP but it's metal so we will see.

If it's to heavy I'm going to try the Phoenix wings and the chaos spawn head or use them on a second power armored DP.

I really appreciate it guys.
