Rampaging Khorne Dreadnought

I can't help myself. I just want to like that formation so badly I keep getting drawn back to it despite its faults.
So here goes.
x1 tormented formation
x1 Prince (warlord)
with: nurgle, wings, lvl 3, yuranthos, VotLW
x9 possessed
with: MoK, Icon of wrath, VotLW
x9 possessed
with: MoK, Icon of wrath, VotLW
x1 CAD ( Word Bearers)
x1 Sorc
with: lvl 3, familiar, VotLW
x1 Sorc
with: lvl 3, familiar, VotLW
x10 culstists
x10 culstists
x1 Kharybdis
x1 Kharybdis
x1 dreadclaw
The prince rolls on pyromancy and the sorcerers pick up a conjuring power from malefic and then roll on telepathy.
So the two units of possessed go into their kharybdis and come crashing down T1 in a big fiery ball and hope to survive.
The prince tries to stay in the air and burn what he can in the first round, and after that the two sorcerers try to summon as if their life depended on it in an attempt to boost numbers.
Yuranthos for extra dice since I would have to try and summon with 5 dice each and then whatever is left goes to the prince unless I manage to grab invisibility.
Then turn two the claw with cultists comes down and the other unit comes from reserve to try and get an objective in your back field.
It would probably be a good idea to find some points to take a csm unit instead of a cultist unit so I can make the dreadclaw ObSec, but that's details. I'm more concerned about how viable this list is.
I currently have like 20 points left.
The initial drop from the two kharybdis' is prone to bubblewrapping but even then, you're burning away the chaff so it doesn't get in the way of the possessed on T2, so win-win.
Hopefully will they will also allow me to pin a unit or two between the 10 pinning launchers which double as impromptu anti tank for light transports. And BL has an objective for pinning a unit so yay.
They can also tank shock, which might be useful to cut a path or punt a lesser unit off of an objective.
The attached sorcerers would summon for objectives, screening units, whatever you need. The list doesn't have enough units for objectives and the possessed have better things to do, so this seemed mandatory.
Which is also a problem in that it eats up all my warp charges unless I get a good roll. Either way though I don't expect them to survive and cast whatever else they roll up. They're there to summon reinforcements, everything else is bonus.
Plus it helps mitigate the lack of grenades after T2. T1 is spent hiding in the kharybdis, T2 they benefit from frag launchers and only T3 earliest would they suffer from not having nades.
By then you can charge with whatever you summoned up so the possessed can charge free of penalties.
I'm also not sure on the prince. Yuranthos helps with warp charges and come T2, all of the spells are in range and I have no other shooting to speak of, so the psychic dakka is welcome.
But it's suboptimal on T1. Ectomancy has about equally useful dakka and the daemonshriek in particular could pay off big, but I might also roll infernal claws, which is too good on a prince not to go melee.
In that case I'd drop yuranthos for a daemon weapon just in case. Only ghost storm would be kinda meh.
Geormortis would be useless except for ley leach and torturer of worlds. The latter would be a great help for the possessed. Ley leach could be amazing with fleshy abundance, might even be able to keep my sorcerers around that way.
That said I'm not set on a nurgle prince. I would be tempted to go slaanesh if I went ectomancy, because infernal claws with smash and rending plus the prince's own attacks would be pretty scary.
And the slaanesh powers aren't bad either for the most part. Can't hurt to have more pinning. I'd loose shroud but that's pointless in melee so I'd be willing to take the risk. This on it's own would free enough points to take the csm too as a Slaanesh prince is cheaper.
Most warlord traits would be pretty pointless on either prince so I think I'd roll on strategic. Everything is useful there, especially If I can grab night fighting for the claws.
So yea, any opinions? Think this could be playable?

So your list seems really interesting.
Do you really need the Kharybdis? Seems really expensive and you only put 9 models in there from the 20 possible.
So seems a bit of a waste, you can do the same with a dreadclaw (if possessed can get one).
You also could take a raider, even it's not that good.
Sorcs will die really fast, if you only want to summon with them, as they always take perils on a double roll.
Maybe put them on an palanquin.

There's a huge difference between a normal claw, vanilla raider and a kharybdis.
The kharybdis comes with frag launchers, meaning the possessed are functionally equipped with grenades on the turn they charge from it.
Considering their high initiative, lack of grenades and frailty for their points, that's virtually mandatory.
There are other options like pinning, but none of them are remotely as reliable as frag launchers.
Normally I spring for a spartan over a kharybdis, but in this case the pinning launchers could be handy.
Plus they allow me to engage more units than I could with the spartan, which is nice considering the lack of units overall.
They eat your guys though, that's why want to join the sorcerers to both units.
Being technomancers stops the claws from doing that. Otherwise I might have taken a second prince or something.
It's also why the sorcerers can't have palanquins. That would require giving them a mark of nurgle, which would prevent them from joining the possessed.
Or mark the possessed as nurgle or vanilla, but khorne is just too good with tormented possessed.
They may die fast, but they should be able to pump out 4 additional units, provided they succeed to manifest each time.
If they roll possession I would have no issues sacrificing them to keep summoning as actual daemons.
Build an impromptu flying circus lol.

I really like this list, possessed are so cool. Do you have the models to run this list? Id love to see a battle report from it. I've been analysing this list for a while and i can't find anything i would change. I coudl suggest some alterations though. Can you use one and let both possessed units benefit from the frag launchers from that single one? Or you could keep one of them and use that unit to charge through terrain and let the other one go for a unit more out in the open. You could get 5 more possessed in the Kharybdis for those 160 pts.

Thanks, I wish I could comply, but I'd need somebody to play with first XD.
As for putting multiple into a claw, unfortunately that's not possible.
For the cost of the three claws you can almost afford a thunderhawk, which would allow this, but then you'd be missing the launchers and it wouldn't come in turn 1.
If I drop a kharybdis, I could drop the dread claw too. I only took that in order to allow both units to arrive turn 1.
Having an ObSec dreadclaw though would be good to have.
On the other hand I just realized I could drop the other two claws and take a spartan instead.
I don't feel comfortable having possessed walk across the board, but this would be slightly less expensive.
I'm not sure it's worth giving up the aoe from the the kharybdis, but I'll think about it. Opens up some potential legacies too.
Could maybe manage to squeeze in a prince if I replace one of the sorcerers too. Better than a suicidal sorc.
Hmm, food for thought.

Either way, seems like a well thought through and fun list. Hope you get to try it soon!
