Hey guys, I played one of my first games of 30k with a friend that I really enjoyed. I proxied a lot of weapon load outs, but I wanted to put in the list I ran for an criticism and to make sure it is legal.

Dark Brethren ROW:

Praetor - Digital Lasers, paragon blade, iron halo, master craft etc etc. Burning lore.

Diabolist with a power axe

MoS with burning lore.

2x twenty man tactical blobs with a sgt with PF and AA. DC

2x apothecaries.

mortis contemptor with double kheres.

Leviathan with two storm cannons, volkite, and phosphex.

two terminator squads with various different weapons, one tartaros and one cataphractii

Fateweavers, some pink horrors.

Thoughts? How could I expand from here? I was thinking some ashen circle and a lot of gal vorbrak? Maybe Lorgar? Thanks!

You can't run the MoS and have a legal list. He either needs to be a Centurion or a Chaplain

Yep, first rule of Word Bearers is have a chaplain.

Just be aware that if you take Dark channelling on the tacticals and roll the daemon result, they'll eat your apothecaries . (By which I mean, there will be no legal way to deploy them)

Not keen on footslogging terminators, especially cataphractii.

Fateweaver and pinks are a strong choice. 30k players might not be ready for the trouble that summoning and the split rule can cause...

Gal vorbak and Lorgar are good choices for expansion.
Ashen circle look very cool also. They work well with Zardu Layak who is also the best WB summoner(and counts as a diabolist if you want him in this list)

The apothecaries should be fine in the Tactical Squads, even if they do roll 'Daemon'. Daemon just gives you 5++ and Fear. It's 'Daemonic Instability' that stops you from joining up with units that don't have it.

Apothecaries are not permitted to join units with the daemon rule.

Yeah it was mostly a mish mash of what I owned or borrowed from my brother.

My friend doesn't want to play with primarchs, so I went with a wirlwind scorpius instead, I also got ten galvorbrak and ten ashen circle with a double kheres assault cannon.

I wasn't playing with summoning on the pinks, that's just too much. They were there to give me a few warp charges instead.

Thoughts on how to equip ashen circle? I am thinking two units of 5 with power axes and some phospex and AA on the iconoclast.
