I'm converting my 3-man strong Custodes Hetaeron Guard squad to be like the fab-stodes from If-the-Emperor-had-a-text-to-speech-engine (they wear only a loincloth and are fabulous), but I can't seem to find suitably large and muscular bodies for the conversion. I was lookong at Blood Warriors and the buff Tzeentch cultist models but those guys are kinda small and not Custodes-sized. Does anyone know of other models that are suitably buff, suitably naked and large enough to be close to Custodes size? For reference, they're about as big as Space Marine Terminators. I'm not specifically looking at Games Workshop models so it can be random barbarian miniatures and whatnot as well, as long as the size and muscles are correct.

If you think about it though, Custodes probably get their size from the armour that they wear. Now I'll allow any lore experts to prove me wrong, but Custodes are still Space Marines at the end of the day, and are probably at most a foot taller. Due to the up in scale of the Tzeentch Acolytes, I'd actually think they are buff enough for Custodes.

Now I don't know if this will help or not, but the Custodes in the show are based off the Pillarmen from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. A quick Google search might help you with reference material.

Exactly, I was converting them to hold weapons based on the Pillarmen (armblades for Cars, some sort of heat weapon for ACDC and fists for Wham), and sculpt on some details of their clothing with Greenstuff.

You make a good point about Custodes being bulked by armour though. Do you know if the Bloodreavers/Kairic Disciples models are about the same size as normal Space Marines? If the naked dudes are comparable to armoured Space Marines on the tabletop scale then I think I can pull it off.

They definitely scaled up the Chaos releases, and I'm pretty sure the Acolytes are the right size. I wouldn't go with the Reavers for the pure reason they come with much more Chaos markings on them, which could be a pain to get off considering they are directly on the skin. Weapons should be easy enough to do (there's a weapon for everything in 40k). but I don't know how you'll get the posing, since GW minis are never that.. flamboyant.
