Target Designated: At the start of each of the controlling player's Shooting phases, nominate one enemy unit within line of sight of a Triarch Stalker from this Formation. All units from this Formation can re-roll failed To Hit, To Wound and armour penetration rolls against the nominated unit until the end of the phase.

If I run a judicator battalion with 2 stalkers I am under the assumption each stalker can designate a target.

Your thoughts?

If you chose 2 targets, did you choose ONE unit in line of sight of a Stalker?

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Pretty clear cut IMO, from the book, my emphasis

Spoiler:
At the start of each of the controlling player's Shooting phases, nominate one enemy unit within line of sight of a Triarch Stalker from this formation. All units from this Formation can re-roll failed To Hit, To Wound and armour penetration rolls against the nominated unit until the end of the phase.

No matter how many stalkers you have, you are only allowed to nominate one enemy unit that is within line of sight of a Stalker. It doesn't stipulate that all Stalkers need to have LoS, just one. But it does restrict the number of units.

If it said something like 'nominate a unit that is within LoS of a Stalker from this formation' there would be more ambiguity. But as it states you can only nominate one unit.

If you had two formations I would assert you could choose two but the bonus would also only be for the stalkers of that formation. The stalkers don't have the rule, the formation does, so you get a choice per the formation, number of stalkers isn't a factor.
