Hi, I wanted to make an skink focused army and this is what I came up with. Do you think it will work?
I have only played AoS 2 times so far and i really like it. The idea with this list is mostly to buff up the bastiladon with the priestly rites and mystic shield with tehenhauin and the starpriest, to make it a super tank.

Allegiance: Order

Leaders:

Tehenhauin, Prophet of Sotek (80)
- General

Skink Starpriest (100)

Engine of the Gods (240)

Units:

10 x Skinks (80)
-Boltspitters & Moonstone Clubs

10 x Skinks (80)
-Meteoric Javelins & Star Bucklers

5 x Chameleon Skinks (120)

Behemoths:

Bastiladon (300)

Total: 1000/1000

Leaders: 3/4 Battlelines: 2 (2+) Behemoths: 2/2 Artillery: 0/2

Take EoTg with the Slann tax. You will enjoy summoning skinks through your priest. Also flying skinks that fly while retreating? Yes please. Also, your EoTg will benefit from the Slann nearby.

37,500 pts Daemon Army of the Gods

35,000 pts - X - Iron Tenth

15,000pts - Firehawks

10,000 pts - Nighthaunt

Dkok - 1850

Hey, I am also new to aos and making a skink heavy list. Our lists are actually pretty similar

Skink priest 100
Bastiladon 300
stegadon 200
10 skinks 80
10 skinks 80
5 Chameleon skinks 120
5 Chameleon skinks 120 (could be 2 razordon)

The real decision is whether to run the stegadon or engine of the gods. I ultimately chose the stegadon because I felt it was better in close combat which is something the rest of my list lacked. The bastiladon is sending out high power hits against enemy heros, behemoths, etc As such the mortal wounds from the engine of the gods is not needed as much. Whats more, in matched play you need to set points aside to summon, and therefor you get nothing if you roll between 14-17. In all the random nature of the beast was what really made it not worth it for me. If you could pick a lower value then it wouldn't be so bad, as picking D6 mortal wounds all the time would be very nice. However, most the time you will be getting 10-13 on 3d6, and with that result you have a 50% chance of getting D3 wounds if the unit is within 10". Really not worth it in matched play if you ask me.

All in all I like your list.

Thanks for the input. I didnt realise you had to put away points for summoning on the eotg aswell. I took it because it is 20pts cheaper and have one more attack and seemed fun to use.

Yeah it loses a lot of its umph when you realize that 14-17 is just dead. But that is probably a good thing. Could you imagine two of those with a slann which averages a 14+ about 1\3 of the time. Add in some rerolls and you could be summoning an endless swarm of engines as the new engines can summon when they come in. Not to mention the slann can summon engines itself.

As for your list I would consider dropping the engine for a stegadon and then maybe upgrading tehenhauin to a skink priest or downgrading him to a chief and adding a razordon
