So with the new shadow wars rules your dudes can take more than one weapon into fight and chose to shoot either one of them.

So if they have a plasma and a sniper they can shoot either, sniper g launcher, glauncher flamer etc etc.

What's the best way to show this on the model, just stick it to his back? Or on his base?

I'm running camo cloaks on all my guys so it makes it even harder to stick it to their backs

I'd model it to his back. You can use Scout Bikers' sprue to find a holstered shotgun, and the Tempestus Scion sprue to find a sleeved rifle.

"Camo Cloaks" can also be done by using the same Scout Sprue and using a rolled-up piece from that.
