Hi folks,
I'm starting to build a Mordian Iron Guard army, but while there is plenty of reference material for the infantry.. I can't find anything on what scheme the vehicles are - does anyone know of any reference material I can find? I've seen at least 1 person paint his vehicles grey, but I'm not sure if he knew this was the scheme or had made his own up

Many thanks for any help!

Back in the 3rd(?) edition codex, there was an image of a Mordian leman russ, it was grey with some colored stripes near the front, like this, except with (IIIRC) yellow and blue.

Peregrine - If you like the army buy it, and don't worry about what one random person on the internet thinks.

There's an example of a Mordian Hellhound in the 5th edition codex. It's black with yellow hazard stripes on the dozer and promethium tanks, and identification stripes similar to what Verviedi posted.

I don't think the yellow and blue stripes are specifically Mordian, there's a picture in one of the Imperial Armour books of a Mordian Chimera which is Codex grey with white and green ID stripes. Another Mordian tank in the same book was a lighter grey without ID stripes and a Mordian Shadowsword was a sort of greyish sand colour.

I think the ID stripes relate to a specific company rather than a specific regiment.

You see ID stripes in a number of the regiments' tanks, truthfully.

The big thing that would fit with the Mordians would be clean like a parade duty tank. Let's face it, the Mordians are in dress uniforms, probably some high-discipline aspect, even in combat. It would likely go with the flow to have the tanks clean-cut looking as well.

Of course, if you're weathering your Mordians, match the level with your tanks.

Mordians had numerous colour patterns when they were still commonly available. The tanks would be different because they're not exactly parade machines. I'd agree though that the paint would be crisp and clean with bold/clean regimental colours on the foreend like most Guard tanks.
