Hi, folks. I just dug out an old GW mail order delivery I'd gotten back during the end of my last journey into the hobby. (Remember when you could order individual sprues and parts? Twas a glorious age!)

Most of the bits were from a bundle deal they were doing at the time for the Codex Eye Of Terror release, to build Traitor Guard. I'm in the middle of completing painting the Battle Of Vedros box so just built the 3 Orks to add to my Boyz but looking at what I have left, there's enough for 5 Catachans, 5 Cadians and 8 zombies.

I've a plan for the Space Marines and Space Wolf parts but wondering if it's worth making the rest up as modified Traitors/Renegades? Am just getting back into the hobby and probably won't be playing a lot of games (reluctance to buy hundreds of pounds worth of Codices has a lot to do with that) but if I do, it'll probably be using the Heralds Of Ruin Kill Team rules.

I've painted a Combat Squad of Space Marines as Fallen and have the old Cypher on order to proxy as a leader so figure I could use the Traitors as either Cultists or an allied force, but thought it might be worth posting here to see of anyone has any better ideas? If not, at least you might like looking at some old parts.

Well, a bitz catalogue would make more sense now than it did back then. They have far fewer sprues than they ever did metal bits.

Your figures, you can do what you want with them! That's the great thing about the hobby IMHO is that you can use what ever rules you want or make up some of your own. The Battle of Vedros kit seems like a good place to "just make things up" as from what few things I've seen it is very rules-lite. Also if you can find the Kill Team rules or the rules from Shadow War Armageddon you might be able to use those. Also you could just get the 1st edition reprint for $58 US and just Stat things out according to that. Heck you don't even have to use GW rules, there are a lot of great rules out there for free on the net, or you can buy non-universe specific rules that have a sci-fi bent and you'll be good to go!

Armies: Space Marines, IG, Tyranids, Eldar, Necrons, Orks, Dark Eldar.
