I'm having a bit of a creative block with my 40k skaven army.

This month games workshop is releasing dwarven airships, which I really want to include in my skaven / mechanicus / skitarii army.
Problem is neither skitarii nor mechanicus has access to flyers so I'd have to ally with another army. I've chosen space marines
for this because the airships look as armed en armored as a stormraven.

Thing is to ally I would need a HQ choice as well as troops. So how do I make skaven armored enough to pass as space marines?
I can't simply use stormvermin since I've used them as skitarii and I want the space marine skaven to look more armored than the skitarii.
Secondly I don't want to just glue skaven heads on space marine bodies, it doesn't really look skaven-like.

So yeah any ideas on this? I've browsed on the GW site but didn't find anything, perhaps any third party bits or something I might have missed?

Why dont you put a skaven head into one of the dwarven flight suits.

There are also formations of Space Marine flyers that don't require you to have a Troop and HQ choice.

I think it's called the Storm Wing.

I've got these to offer for a lord and escort ideas, admittedly, may be a bit overly chaotic, doesn't fill troops and termies do kinda suck right now...
