For a couple of years now, the Warhammer News app has been bringing all the latest Warhammer news and features to your iOS and Android devices. With our triumphant return to social media, and the advent of the Warhammer Community site, the app has become a secondary destination to its larger cousins.

To help make things as easy as possible for you to find out about all things Warhammer, we're going to move all the information from the Warhammer News app to the Warhammer Community site. So this weekend, we'll be saying goodbye to the Warhammer News app and powering it down.

For all the latest news, releases and hobby articles you desire, check out warhammer-community.com, the home of Warhammer on the web.

This news shouldn't come as a surprise really, as the frequency of articles and messages in the app saw a sharp decline over the past few months.

Can't really complain. For all the right moves GW has been making lately - consolidating their news, information and webstore materials has never been their strong suit. Way too many apps, sites, pages, groups, etc.

They need serious work on this front.

Yeah, they need it tighter and focused so you don't have to run through a dozen sites and facebook areas to find out about the latest thing.

Luckily hobby forums exist for that.

I use the UK GW site. No-where on it can I find a link to say they have a facebook page. There is a link to a community site, which also has no links to a facebook page.
When I search for GW on facebook, all I find are GWs for the specific local shops.

Does GW have an official facebook page and how does one find it?

If they're going to use it for news, it would be nice to be aware of it's existence.

I find it helps to put "official" when looking for these kind of sites so you can avoid the fan stuff.

There are few things I hate as much as apps for things that should be web pages. Every time one falls I feel a sense of victory.
