So I'm working on creating a Custodes army and wanted to make up some Sagittarum Guard.
When you cut the ends off the Guardian Spears, they make a pretty awesome bolter, but they look a little weedy for the Custodes to be using.
I still have to find an extra bit to stick on the front of them to make the little disintegration beam bit, but I can't help but feel that they're not imposing enough to be a stand in for a Adrastus Bolt Caliver, which is described as a 'portable heavy weapon'.
Maybe I just need to make them longer? They're the same size as a standard Space Marine bolter.

Thoughts and feedback anyone?

You're right, it does look a little small, but as the next step up is a heavy bolter, you don't have a lot of wiggle room unless you want to go third party (and I guess if you did, you'd already haev the FW Sagittarii). You could add size to it with a larger sniper-esque barrel and a box mag. As for the adrathic part, how about the Ion pistol from Anvil : http://anvilindustry.co.uk/ion-pistols?search=ion&page=2
