Let me please start this by saying this list is not set out to be super competitive, i have yet to enter a competition and play only friendly games in my local store.

I have built this list to be as fluffy, and fun to play as possible, i am looking for some advice on the final unit choices or possible changes to make it even funner to play.
I cannot stress how little I am concerned about winning, I enjoy a fun game.

CAD detachment

HQ
Painboy - 50
Warboss, Lucky Stick, PK - 110

Elites
Burna Boys x10, Trukk - 190
Tankbustas x10, Trukk - 160

Troops
Boys x19, Boss Nob, PK - 155
Boys x19, Boss Nob, PK - 155
Gretchin, Runtherd - 35

Fast Attack
Deffkopta, Twinlinked rockets - 30
Deffkopta, Twinlinked rockets - 30

Heavy Support
Flast Gitz, Trukk - 140
Lootas x10 - 140
Mek Gunz (Havent decided on the gun choice yet) - Max 30 points?

Allied Detachment

HQ
Weirdboy, ML 2 - 70

Troops
Boys x19, Boss Nob, PK - 155
Boys x19, Boss Nob, PK - 155

Fast Attack
Dakkajet - 110

Heavy Support
Killa Kans x 3, 150

Now my final choice is between

5 x Nobz, 1 PK, 4 BC - 135, to take it to 2000 on the dot
or
2 x Looted Wagon with Kill Kannon - 134, to take it to 1999

Any other bits of advice will obviously be taken onboard

What's the story? You want to do fluffy so what's the fluff?
Have you written anything or is it all in the modelling?

I see a Painboy and tonnes of troops so... A lot of bioniks maybe. Maybe even a few zomborks!

I too am an Orks for fun player, at least I was when I used to play more. I liked to choose all the random elements, wierdboy for an HQ and lots of Zapp guns and looted wagons. Anything at all that could be either incredibly powerful or a big wet lettuce depending on the luck of the dice. Lots of fun to play orks that way.

Going for funny - I think your Mek Gunz should be Traktor Kannons! It's always great fun to rip a flyer from the sky, even though the chances are fairly slim!

Nobz are rubbish and I don't find them fun tbh, so I'd take the looted wagons - it's always more fun to shoot a large, crudely-concocted cannon at the enemy in my book

I love the looted wagons I'd avoid the nobz, though, they're a huge points sink and especially if they go on foot they're a waste of budget. With the spared points upgrade the killa kans with grotzookas, rams to every trukk/looted wagon, equip the dakkajet with a flyboss and try to add 10 boyz to one of your mobs in order to make them very resilient with the help of the painboy You also need a boss pole in each unit of boyz.

I'd suggest to make the lone mek gun a KMK, and a 3 points ammo runt would be a nice add. If you fear some nasty flyer a traktor kannon can be handy though. Alternatively you can field another deffkopta instead of the piece of artilley and split the lootas into two units of five.

I have not finalised the individual fluff of the army yet :( its still a work in progress, the idea of the army came from the fluff within the codex listing hordes of orks with tanks and other big guns backing up their charge, however I am currently coming up with background the story of Dugg Bashmasta .
I too like the random element to many of the units, hence the inclusion of the weirdboy, flash gitz, and lootas, i had also looked into involving a SAG, however it seemed a large point sink where i could include other fun elements. Going with this theme maybe i should use the looted wagons. i have converted all 3 trukks within the army so none are alike in anyway as it is.

The chances of shooting anything with my dice rolling is fairly slim as it is anyway, so the more misses the merrier , would i gear it out the same if facing non flyers? my group seem to have limited flyers.
I did have the issue of thinking my Nobz where going to tear up and stand laughing afterwards with me chuckling gleefully, charged 6 of them into a squad of 3 assault terminators, Died on impact :(

i do have to agree on the sound of shooting crudely concocted cannons at them, hopefully do a little more impact haha, plus the conversions are endless!

It seems everyone loves looted wagons over nobz haha, such a shame, some nice models!

ive just tried the upgrades you suggested, theres not a chance i can fit all the upgrades on the units, add 10 boyz and 1 looted wagon. all within the 135 of removing the nobz :(, are boss poles that useful? ive never failed a moral check yet as orks so yet to find out (thank god for always rolling 1's or 2's, even on shooting, haha). in my 1500 i play with two units of five lootas, but i think i prefer to fire a mass of bullets at something and overkill it (seems very orky) then under kill it.

I honestly like running squads of 10 Nobz with the Warboss and Painboy in a trukk.

'Eavy Armor for Nobz and Warboss
No Upgrades on the Painboy
Ram + Rokkit for Trukk
P.K., B.P., Shoota and DLS on Warboss
P.K., B.P., Shoota on Boss Nob
1-2 Nobz with P.K. and Shoota
0-2 Nobz with Big Choppa and Kombi-Scorcha (If facing another horde or mass Infantry)
The rest with just Big Choppa and Shoota

In all the games I've played 1 of 2 things happens:
1. My Opponent Focuses them straight to hell (hopefully last a few turns)
2. They get ignored, in which case the turn I get to disembark most likely whatever I charge is dead

I've had many games where I've more than compensated for the points they cost.
Even when they haven't they've bought time for other things to get up the board or allowed Lootas or other things a chance to whittle down the enemy.
I would not run Nobs seriously under 6 strong though.
