I have been wanting to expand my Marines for awhile now and was wondering what units i should get, i already have:
7x Tac Squads
1x Dev Squad
2x Bike Squads
3x Termie Squads
x1 Land Raider (C)
2x Rhinos
1x Drop Pod
1x Ven. Dreadnought
1x Stern. Squad
x1 Stormraven
x1 Chaplain
x1 Terminator Captain
Anyone know how i should expand this? I am on a budget however, so nothing massive like a Titan or anything like that.
(EDIT) Also i play Ultramarines if that influences anything.

Completely depends on what you are going for. It's all good me sitting here telling you to get X Y and Z, but you might prefer a different style of play. You might not be even into gaming for all I know, but rather you want some cool stuff to paint. So I'll ask a few questions first:

Do you want to game or paint?

If you want to game, are you looking to be more competitive or casual?

Is there a certain theme you want to adhere to?

If you can't believe in yourself, believe in me! Believe in the Dakka who believes in you!

I would say buy two or three of these for another slot. You will need to put together techmarines to man them.

Okay, so I'd say you have enoguh troops to keep you going, so you'll want some heavy hitting stuff. Thunderfire Cannons and Centurions could do you well, Centurions especially since they'll benefit from the doctrines. I'd like some more transports too, so maybe a few more Drop Pods/Rhinos (whatever you prefer). A few Librarians are fairly cheap too, and they can help your army no matter what you put them with, so they should be an easy way to see boosts in your army quickly. I wouldn't be too eager to go for the tanks, since their £ price don't really translate that well onto the table, but if you do want one the Vindicator is your best bet.

Hope this helps.

Personally I would add some assault squads along with transports.

Well, what I aimed to do was to make it a fluffy army, so only built up of Formations and strikeforces you'd see in a typical Space Marine army. As a result, I have an army of 2nd Company Ultramarines, with a few formations' worth of auxiliary forces attached.

For me, that meant dividing down into Battle Companies and and the other Formations. I'll take a look at yours and see how I'd divvie it down:

x1 Chaplain
x1 Terminator Captain

6 of the Tactical Squads, both Bike Squads, the Devastator Squad, the Terminator Captain and the Chaplain can all form the basis of a Battle Company - all you'd need to finish it off would be another Devastator Squad or Devastator Centurions.

The Stormraven, Dreadnought, and two Terminator Squads (Assault and Vanilla) can form a Skyspear Assault Wing.

The last Terminator Squad and the Sternguard Squad (assuming only 5 man) can join with another new Terminator Squad, Sternguard or Vanguard Veteran unit to make a 1st Company Task Force. You'd just need one other 1st company unit.

The last Tactical Squad can either form the basis of a Demi-Company, but I'd say to leave it out, and leave them as extra special weapon guys, or convert them into Sternguard for the 1st Company Task Force.

Rhinos and Drop Pods can just be dedicated transports as you need them. The Land Raider can form a DT for the 1st company Terminators, or Devastator Centurions in the Battle Company.

So, what you'd have:
A full Battle Company
Skyspear Assault Wing
1st Company Task Force
Assorted Dedicated Transports

What you'd need to buy in this list: A Devastator Squad/Devastator Centurions
Assault Terminators/Terminators/Sternguard/Vanguard Veterans

That would be it, if you wanted to make everything fit into a fluffy formation.

My $0.02, more Rhinos or preferably more Drop Pods. You have the Tac Squads to fill them up. As another option, if you don't mind splitting your Tac squads into five man teams, several Razorbacks with twin linked Lascannons could do some real damage even when the squads exit the vehicle.

Yeah, I'd probably get rhinos/razors to fill a battle company. Since battle company is where it's at.

While I really like the Dreadnought model, Devastator Centurions would be more useful.

How about a librarian or three? You could put them on bikes, or jump packs. Some of the basic primaris powers out there are pretty handy and with 3 ML2 psykers you could reliably manifest them, and they'd be a huge force multiplier for you.

true, though I find a single multimelta dred never lets me down. lands, usually blow something up and is the perfect distraction carnifex for the other army to us almost all its shooting to destroy.
