So.. I'v been out of 40k for a while.. I havent played for a few months and just havent been feeling like playing any of my armies and more recently I'v been feeling like building and playing again, But at the same time, I still dont feel like any of my armies.. So I'm looking for something new. My old main army is Tau, I love the models and fluff, But they arent the most fun to play.. I also have Space wolves, And Necrons. Necrons are the most fun to play, but I just dont feel inspired to build or paint them.. So I was wondering, Are there any fun armies out there they can do a bit of shooty and a bit of melee, Kind of like how Necrons can do a bit of both, But also mayhaps gets psychic powers? Other then Space Wolves.

Is someone looking to be corrupted? I think someone is looking to be corrupted.

Now that Traitor legions are out there is a lot of variety fpr a CSM player and TS/Daemons open up a lot of psychic shenanigans. Also chaos has IMO THE best modeling potential out of all of the factions.

Once again, my opinion, but I have had the most fun in 40k with Daemon shenanigans combined with CSM bs.

as sai CSM / chaos allies or if you want something different harliquins and dark elder/elder in ynarri army tons of fun combos

I did consider starting a Death Guard army but, A friend just started repainting his Chaos marines to Death Guard in expectation for their new models so I decided to not step on his toes, Not sure what other chaos marines I'd like to play..

I considerd Craftworld Eldar but, All the talk about how OP they are, And seeing how much of their army is finecrap makes me hesitate..

Orks do seem like a fun army, But I'm not quite sure how to build them up. With Orks you need lots of boys! But then what..? I have their codex but I havent been able to figure them out.. Hmm...

orks are the worst army in the game at the moment, not like this is an uphill battle weak, like autolose against all but the weakest lists bad

Why not Genestealer Cult

they are lot of fun

Yeah, Genestealer Cult is worth a look. The Cult Ambush stuff plays unlike any other army, and you can ally with either Tyranids or Imperial Guard and still be very fluffy.

Might be an expensive army to collect though as you'll need alot of infantry models.
