Just thought I'd post a message on here to see what you guys think before I do anything. Basically I have a few oop Rhinos but no oop Razorbacks. I do, however, own a few oop metal razorback turrets that are just missing the bottom plate that sticks into the top of the vehicle model when you want to decide if you're going for a rhino or razorback (the turrets are fully complete and fully painted by me). I'm basically thinking I might just stick a few magnets on the back rhinos hatch and have them as Rhinos that I can just magnet a Razorback turret on when I need a razorback. What do you guys think? It still good to do even if I stick to the oop back hatch (the two doors) rather than find a oop razorback with the turret hatch.

That sounds very sensible to me. I like things that can give you tactical flexibility without having to own twice as many models!

Fully Painted Armies: 2200pts Orks 1000pts Space Marines 1200pts Tau 2500pts Blood Angels 3500pts Imperial Guard/Renegades and 1700pts Daemons 450pts Imperial Knights

Should be fine.

it would be a shame not to use those classic models.

if you are talking about hard core tournies then ask your TO

No, no... I don't do torns because I only play with 90s oop models and because of that I like to use none meta lists. I only ask because I like to keep things authentic so thought it might not be too good to use the rhino modek with a magnet stuck on the back. But I think I can work somethings out.

Can you get the magnet to sit inside the model?

if you get a strong enough one it should hold it just fine.

OR cut a shape out of steel sheeting (say a tactical arrow shape or something with metal sheers) and glue and paint it on the top of the model.

For the record, if you didn't point this out, I wouldn't have even known the old Razorbacks had a different hatch.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

Yeah, the rhino has what looks like two doors to a basement on top. While the razorback looks more bolted in and has a place for turret to be glued in.
