Hey guys, after seeing the leaked images of the new marines, what's the deal? Anyone know? I wanted to buy 500-600$ worth of marines to make a salamanders army but now i'm scared theyre going to look silly.

If you like the idea of larger marines going forward, then wait, because it looks like they are coming. If you like the current ones and will be happy with them even if other new marines tower over them, then start your project.

There's a question whether those the new standard marine or some new Super Marine created by Guilliman and that cyborg slug dude.

My personal bet is they are the new normal. GW has upsized marines twice before (RT to 2nd edition, 2nd to 3rd) and it's a way to improve the product and get people to go out and buy more rather than keep using what they have.

Yeah that would mean GW has to do new marine bikes, assault marines and characters at the very least but that's what happened before.

And they never seemed in any hurry to finish, 3rd edition marines used RT rhinos for a long time, heck Ragnar still has a RT era model (the end of RT granted but still).

Anyway my advice is wait a few months before dropping money on marines. Usually they are a safe buy but right now I'm not so sure. If nothing else you should be able to get old marines at a discount.
