Subject: AoS Allegiance Cards [2020-08-19: small fixes]
Age of Sigmar started out simple enough. But the first General's Handbook changed a lot of things. Suddenly you could personalise a few things for your army with command traits for your general and artefacts for your heroes. Then dropped the first battletomes which included allegiance abilities. And the amount grew rapidly.
Because I don't like flipping back and forth in my books for every other ability, I created some cards to help keep the important rules right at the table, beside your models.
All cards are available as print files with 3mm bleed and cutting marks, as a 'web' version (for viewing on smartphones/tablets), DIN A4 and US letter printing sheet.
each set contains: cover / card backside, Battle Traits, Command Traits, Artefacts, cards for spell lores and faction specific skills
card size is 63 x 88 mm (same Pokemon, Magic, 40k Datacards, etc.)
language: English
I tried to keep the original wording, but sometimes I had to abbreviate it to fit on the card without scaling down the font size. The rule intentions should still be clear. 'Dice' was continuously replaced with D3 or D6, 'wound roll' with 'To-Wound roll' (same for hit), 'Mortal Wounds' sometimes with 'MW'
each set can be stored in a faction specific card box, with contents listed on the back (instructions)
I will expand these cards further, but don't count on any release schedule or certain timeframe after release of new stuff.
If you find any errors or have suggestions, please let me know. I had fun creating these cards and hope people will find them useful and have fun using them in their games.
These cards are for personal use only and you should always keep your General's Handbook and/or Battletome nearby to solve any conflicts from bad wording on the cards. These cards are only a playing aid and never could nor should replace an official publication.
Please let me know if I have used anything you would like to be removed.
Core Set 2019 Contains the common Command Abilities (Core & Matched Play), Common Spells, Triumphs (Core & Matched Play), Scenery (Core & Matched Play), extra Command Point, and a table for rolling a Realm of Battle Card Box Web version Print version Print sheet DIN A4 Print sheet US letter
Very nice. I just put together some cards last week for Death. Not as professional and clean looking as yours.
I miss my color printer, might have to get another one for projects like this.
Do you have the default command trait? Probably not as relevant as the default spells, but in smaller games, you might not have a general with a specific one.
Cards for buffs/debuffs are one of the things that drove me to make my cards. While mostly command abilities and spells, I think there are some specific abilities for some armies that do that sort of thing. While all the info for them is on the battlescrolls, it’s nice to be able to slap a card next to a unit to remind yourself who’s getting affected.
You know, I totally forgot about the default Command Ability, mainly because I think it's really easy to use and remember.
Maybe I will add it some day, maybe not, as the 14 cards sheets are the maximum I can fit on a DIN A4.
For buffs and debuffs directly on the battlefield, I use plastic tokens.
Card boxes for all current Battletomes are done, as are the boxes for the listed faction allegiances in the General's Handbook 2017.
I removed the links for the cards, they get reworked and/or tweaked a bit and will be back up as soon as I finish them.
Cards for the already released Battletomes should be back online next week. For the Grand Alliance abilities, I think I'll skip reworking them and just wait for the new GH to drop.

Update: done 'till GH 2017! All Battletome cards are back online.
For the generic Grand Alliance abilities, I'll wait for the GH 2017 to drop.
I re-worked formatting, fixed some errors, added cards for the sub-groups present in the Battletomes (Skyfleets, War Chambers, etc.)
The boxes are fixed and reflect the re-worked contents.
If there are optional cards, like the mentioned specific group ones or the generic Command Ability and Spells, they are separated on the last pages of the print sheet. See the details on the army sheet.
I added a link to a spreadsheet with factions, card numbers, and changes made to the original post.

Update: got the General's Handbook this weekend! Love all these new abilities!
Bit sad that they stripped legacy units of keywords and made the Battle Standards boring...
Anyway, first update is here.
Reworked some formatting on all existing cards (see spreadsheet for changes on which files)
Complete GA Destruction is done.
Order, Death, Flesh-Eater Courts done. Nighthaunt done, but not uploaded yet.
Rest should follow in the next days.
Have fun.

Very nice job there. Excellent work. Thanks for sharing.

DUDE! I love yours more because they look like MTG cards

Added the category 'AoS Gaming Aids', which right now, only includes stuff from the GH2017, namely cards for Their Finest Hour, Secret Objectives, Victory Points, Treachery Points, Siege Tactics and the Pitched Battles Triumphs.

I used the new and darker Age of Sigmar logo and got rid of bold formatting of (imo) important rule parts. GW got their rules to the point mostly, which would've meant making a whole card in bold.
Keywords and unit names are still formatted differently.
Have fun with them and if you find any mistakes, let me know!
Sal4m4nd3r wrote: Probably better as these fit exactly into a MTG or trading card sleeve.
Well, the small ones fit in the FFG small card sleeves used in X-Wing.
But after printing them out, I like the big cards way better. They have a better feel, and readability is much better.
I'm working on a template for the card box and after that I'll convert everything over to the new format.

I was wondering if you would mind sharing your project file for the card sizes, the originals and the bigger ones. I'm having the idea of doing something similar with the Time of War rules and your setup looks perfect for what I want.

Yeah, I can do that.
These are InDesign CC 2018 files, though, they aren't backwards compatible.
I'm just gonna share the recent Nurgle ones, there are changes I made in comparision to the 2017 files.
What pixel size is the card back? I want to make a Moonclan specific picture for my card backs. I'm doing a spider rider (with night goblin riders) so a mixed Destruction but with all converted Night Goblins.

The small cards have a format of 41 x 63 mm, with 3 mm bleeding on all sides, so 47 x 69 mm.
To keep a resolution of 300 dpi for printing, your picture should have around 555 x 815 px.
