I currently use synthetic Da-vinci NOVA-SYNTHETICS brushes and would like to buy something better. what should I buy and is there any one who did a comprehensive comparison of brushes for painting miniatures ?

I don't know about a comprehensive comparison... but as just another guy on the internet... I love the Winsor Newton series 7 and old style Raphael 8404 brushes.
They both hold razor sharp tips for the longest time if you take decent care of them.
The WN7 are slightly firmer which apparently makes it better suited to painting small details where the Raphael are slightly more flexible making them apparently better suited to glazes and blending. I am not skilled enough to notice those minut nuances but I can certainly feel the difference with these brushes and any others I've used.
The series 33 is good too, but I like longer bristles of the 22s.
Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.
