My name is Steve and I have been playing wargames on and off for many years. I started playing Warhammer Fantasy and 40k when I was 12, back in 2nd edition of 40k. I still have some of those awesome codexes from that edition.

Today, I play with a small gaming group and my kids, and I own pieces of many armies. My true love of the hobby is the fluff and painting though. Whenever I go to my local Games Workshop or FLGS, I could really come home with pieces to any army if the painting appeals to me.

I run a new hobby blog mainly devoted to painting and rules fluff at https://fortresserioch.blogspot.com/. Check it out and let me know what you think. By the end of the summer, I hope to have painting schemes for many different types of models across multiple armies. I also have sections devoted to great allies to our hobby and hobby tools. Overall, I am just trying to add to this awesome community now that I have put so many years into it.
