If you had to guess what your Space Marine Chapter Tactics will be for 8th Edition, what would you guess? Yes, it is a bit early, but it can still be fun.

My guess for Imperial/Crimson Fists would be the following:
+1 to Hit with Bolt type weapons (it would have a list)
+1 Strength to shooting attacks for Devastator Squads

My guess for Blood Angels would be the following:
+1 Strength on close combat attacks made the turn you charge
Vehicles do not suffer the -1 when firing Heavy Weapons if they move. Rhino type Tanks gain 3" to movement made per phase.

Ravenguard:

1. All infantry and jump infantry are always considered as being in cover.

2. You may use the jump pack both in the movement and the assault phases.

I am curious what Jump Packs will even do. My guess is they will just be a flat increase to movement speed. Possibly in every phase. So a 3" increase in the Movement, Shooting(so an increase to Advance moves) and Charge phases.

Maybe Iron Hands will have a modifier to their toughness or modify weapons shooting at them to be -1 str or maybe dmg? Similar to 30k? Moving vehicles don't suffer penalties for moving and regenerate d3 hull points on a 6+? Wishlisting sort of.

Dark Angels pretty much translate over - overwatch hits on 5's and some bonus to battleshock tests.

We don't know the full rules yet, but it is possible that they could not change at all. The current jump pack rules are basically compatible with 8th ed as we know it. Double M in the movement phase, reroll charge range in the assault phase. Of course, giving jump pack units a flat guaranteed charge range would actually be a reason to use the 20 assault marines and 10 raptors I have collecting dust, so I won't complain if the rules do change.

I've long thought that if 40k chapter tactics took some inspiration from 30k legions, it couldn't be bad, really. Maybe Ultramarines Chapter Tactics granting rerolls on hits to specific targets according to their class, so tactical squads get rerolls on other infantry, devs get rerolls on vehicles and monsters, Assault Marines get rerolls on melee hits, etc. But of course, just porting 30k UM tactics would be super cool.

Iron Hands getting +1T when hit by anything below a certain STR?

I'm curious what the new version of ATSKNF is going to be. Maybe they don't suffer additional wounds in the battleshock phase?

I went to Hershey Park in central PA this year, and I have to say I was more than a little disappointed. I fully expected the entire theme park to be make entirely of chocolate, but no. Here in America, we have "building codes," and some other nonsense about chocolate melting if don't store it someplace kept below room temperature.

I am hoping for consolidated list entries for like items. There is no reason to have a unique datasheet for SM Sternguard, BA Sternguard, DA Veterans, Deathwatch Veterans, and Power Armor Wolf Guard. All differences in choices can probably be handled with different wargear lists and Chapter Tactics for each army. I fully expect there to be one entry for all the shared tanks and whatnot.
