Eye of Terror

Have been working on my sculpting and painting techniques. Working on my Black Legion army, starting with the Cyclopea Cabal. These guys tend to be the MVP for most of my games, so I figure it's time to give them some proper models.

This is the first model in the batch. The figure is a custom sculpt made from parts. The torso is from a Space Marine biker, the arms come from the CSM kit, and the leg is from a Space Marine. I sculpted the cloak and the relief on the leg using Procreate.

I wanted the rider to have a hostile, accusatory feel, untainted by the warp but not letting anyone forget he's a sorcerer. Blasphemous runes run across the surface of the bike. He's posed casting a psychic power at close range, with a SM helmet in his right hand that could represent a trophy or the Skull of Kergnar.

The relief on the front of the bike was sculpted, and I tried to create a lighting effect from the headlight. This was my first try at object source lighting. I used purple to represent the warp.

This is the back of the bike. The spell familiar rides shotgun and whispers false prophecies to the sorcerer as they travel.

Still working on the right side of the bike. I used a backpack from the possessed sprue which is the only part of the model with some radical mutation.

My modeling gallery has pics of other sculpts that are going into the Cabal. Would love to know what you think.

Nice job on the sorcerer, really digging the runes on the side of the bike and the familiar on the back.

Great job!

You might want to clip off the bottom of the gun grip from his left hand though! ... unless, of course you plan on adding a weapon!
