I insert the turret facing 90 degrees like the instructions say and haven't glued it but then the turret just locks into place and won't move at all, the instructions show it being rotated to face forward but mine doesn't seem to work that way...am I missing something? Extremely frustrating.

That sounds rather odd.. but if you're having trouble you can take off the four little knobs on the bottom of the turret, that might give you the clearance you need. If not, take a file and shave the inside of the two lock teeth down a little.

If you painted it and got paint or glue in the channels or tabs it will be tight or lock up completely. Have a look and make sure everything is clean.

Thanks, yeah I'm thinking that maybe the two teeth are a bit too thick or something. Will give the file a go and see how things go.

I have had to same issues in the past and the two little tabs have needed a little file down.

Another good tip is take a graphite pencil and rub it around the turret ring. That way it will help it slide better and move. Do this after painting and before you ever put the turret on.
