Hello everyone, I'm planning on getting stuff to model and paint my favorite chapter of Space Marines, which I assume you know from the title. I'm using this [https://40kshades.wordpress.com/2014/04/16/how-to-painting-carcharodons-astra/] as a guide for the paints I will get, but I am still new to the hobby and would like to get some help to make a model I can display in my home. (Also hoping to get Forgeworld Hersey Era Armor and a Leviathan Dreadnought, any tips for those would be nice as well.)
I want a selection of paints that can get me some nice looking models. I am getting the "Essential Brush collection" From
GW's website, and would prefer to get paints from
GW (and I am substituting Chaos Black for the paint the person who wrote the article there.) I would like to get some advice for bases and would like to get some questions out of the way.
My biggest question is does the paint interfere with the glue? I know people have different ways of painting, but I had heard that the glue doesn't work well with models after they are painted. But at the same time, I've seen video's of people painting terminators that show them painting parts separately, so I'm kind of confused. also, does anyone know how to free hand the Chapter symbol? If there is one think I hate is that Forgeworld took out the transfer sheets for some of the cooler chapter from the Badab War
Please post any links to other form posts if my questions can be answered there. Thank you for reading, and thank you for your time.
