Any body got tips for removing a poorly placed magnet in the arm of a dreadnought? I bought a used model with a few options for arms but the magnets in the arms themselves arent placed very well. I would like to get them out and put them deeper in and more level. Thought you guys might have an idea that doesnt involve almost destroying the arm.

Not very easy task you have. You have to get under the magnet so you can pop it out of the hole its in. Not sure how it looks, but if you can cut out a section of where its at, and get under it, might be able to salvage it. Also depends on glue used to hold it in. Some are better then others. I've heard freezing superglue weakens it, but haven't tried that myself.

Yeah that was kind of my thoughts about it too. I may just have to drill a tiny hole beside it and try and pry it out. I hadn't thought of freezing it so that may help a bit for when i try and pry it out. I think as long as i keep the hole small it wont really be noticeable unless you take the arm off. Then again i could try and fill the hole with green stuff

Metal, plastic or resin dreadnought?

It's easiest in plastic, hardest in metal.

Drill alongside the magnet is the easiest way. Apply a little force sideways to lever the magnet out. Holes can be GS'ed up.
