I feel like the first list would be too few units.

Thanks for the suggestion, I think you're definitely right there. Atm I'm thinking of dropping the Branchwraith in favour for 5 Tree-Revenant or 3 Tree-Kin.

Tree Revenants are only good for outflanking backfield units like artillery. If you don't expect that then Dryads are usually better. Especially if you have woods.
