Shade of Despair and Torment

So we know there is a new starter coming. It will have new larger marines and new nurgle marines.

What is your guess on what new models might come out?

Mine would be, if there is new larger tactical marines (that we have seen) that would mean there should be new larger terminator style miniatures and even larger transport vehicles for these bigger marines. There may even be a larger than a dreadnought type of walker where one of these larger marines pilot it since they haven't had time to die and be placed into a dread like marines usually are. Most likely, new larger marine characters and/or command models too. That's my hope and wish.

What do you think, or hope, might come from this new edition, model wise?

Oh, apparently Tyranids & Orks are getting new releases after 8th launches! New buggy!

Possibly multi part versions of the models in the starter. If they introduce a new type of flying nurgle drone, i'm hoping it becomes a multi part kit with customizable options because i'd love that.

As far as the Tyranids go, a recut/revamp of the molds for the termagants/hormagants would be great. The warriors have been brought up to date and are more crisp. But the basic core troops are showing their age...same with the eldar guardians. With the guardians you have to cut flash off the side of the helmet and sand it down.

Orks have a very nice range as it is, aside from a new buggy i'd rather see a different faction get attention. At some point i'd like plastic sisters of battle. If GW isn't working on them now, then they are a lost hope...considering the sales of the triumvirate box.

I can't rally complain too much about Necrons, warriors might need some love (specifically their "I'm a pooping robot" stance), but outside of that we have a good looking army.

Chaos could use some love, they are low detail. It doesn't help the average traitor marine looks like he escaped from an 80's hair band music video, and not the kind people remember fondly. I know a few people in my area that replace the doofy looking chaos marines with mark III and Mark IV armor from HH. Even GW got on board that with the cover for "shroud of night":

Here's hoping for some Death Guard snipers, and snipers for other factions that won't be able to target characters.

Edit: here is hoping for "blessed" DG that are so bloated and fat that all they are good for is being plopped down with a sniper in their hands.

I think Abbadon will get a new model. Especially after they said his new rules are really good.

Space Marines. Of every color, shape, and size. Maybe like two things for non Space Marine factions if GW is feeling generous.

Outer Space, Apparently

An actual Cultist box set would be pretty nice

Also, I don't think "bigger Marines" should be a thing. Invalidating the scale of every Space Marine model up to this date is not a smart move...

While not immediate I'd imagine it's safe to assume an equal release of Khorne and (maybe, maybe not...) Slaanesh to match the recent Tzeentch and Nurgle showings. The Nurgle marines will probably be accompanied by at least a new greater daemon etc.

My guess is it'll still be some time before we see plastic sisters or anything resembling plastic aspect warriors (if they don't subtly do-away with them).

well warbuggies/wartraxx and they need to just release the AOBR deffcopta to replace the old ugly one they currently sell. also the old big guns are pretty bad. and ghaz could use a resculpt he just looks like he has no energy just slogging along dragging his claw I would be surprised to see it happen but would buy the kit for sure if it looked better.

They have been talking about them quite a lot recently, and added them to SWA, so I can't imagine its as much of a pipe dream as I would have said I year ago.

I would really like to see the old IG regiments redone in plastic - Steel Legion, Mordian Guard, Valhallans etc. If they release SoB in plastic I'd likely pick up a few squads also.

Spoiler:

That's a cool picture - :0

There will always be new Marines - always. Plus we have new Slightly shinier Marines to add to the bloat.

New Primarch models are almost certain

Sisters are a possible - both Battle and Silent. Maybe some like on that cover

Marines, Chaos, Eldar and Sisters I'm expecting nearer the beginning. (Due to the current story)
The starter box will come with NuMarines and Nurgle, and their range will most likely be increased over a few months following. Then, Sisters or Eldar might come out after that.
I know in AoS they brought out a lot of Stormcast and Khorne before other armies were introduced. I'm also expecting that armies won't necessarily be update, but new factions of those armies will be, like AoS. For example, the latest release for AoS was some pirate-esk Dwarfs, instead of just an updated version of the old figures, with their own fluff that's seperate to the old guys (who are still written into the universe though).

I could be totally wrong, but that's my guess

I'm expecting plastic steel legion because of the fall of cadia. More marines. Mabye rough riders if they are serious about fixing them.

"Enemies of the Imperium, hear me. You have come here to die. The Immortal Emperor is with us and we are invincible. His soldiers will strike you down. His war machines will crush you under their treads. His mighty guns will bring the very sky crashing down upon you. You cannot win. The Emperor has given us His greatest weapon to wield. So make yourselves ready. We are the First Kronus Regiment, and today is our Victory Day. " - Governor-Militant Lukas Alexander, Commander 1st Kronus Regiment

The bigger marines are coming, and therefore bigger terminators are probably coming, and all the little dudes will keep rules but eventually be phased out of the model line. This is probably happening, and also, surprisingly on topic!

Also, I like waffles.

First, new space marines. Then probably some kind of big bug for the 'nids. It seems like exactly the kind of thing that GW should be jumping on and I wouldn't be terribly surprised if they did.

I don't know. That's possible. Also possible we get a cult of half naked Tau trying to recollect the pieces of a C'tan Shard that they were convinced were their god by securing mercenary work as melee mercenaries...

Oops, they kind of did that already.

I'm hoping for new Phoenix Lords and a new Avatar of Khaine.

But I expect there will be new models specific to the Ynnari. They can't stay purely a hodge-podge of different Eldar factions forever, they need their own identity given that GW is seemingly pushing them as protagonists alongside the Imperium.
