I've been trying to buy some Vespid for weeks if not months and they have been out of stock on GW's site. Now I'm trying to order Kroot and it says they are available but when I try and add them to cart it says I can't and they aren't available but there is no email me button. Is this the end of Tau Auxiliaries? :(

The article on characters explicitly calls out Kroot (and Kroot Shapers) as remaining a part of the game.

Localities sell out of product all the time, and it almost never means that things are entirely sold out forever.

(I wouldn't mind if they gave us Plastic Vespid, though - that's pretty much the only Tau Empire kit that reeeeeeally needs updating).

Right... true. But in AoS there are some armies that don't have sold models anymore but have rule support in generals handbook. I sure hope the Kroot come back and it's simply an issue of stock.

It's been eons since I've seen Vespid in stock in Canada though. I wonder what's up with their Canadian availability then?

Also are Vespids still metal models?

Huh, apparently they are finecast now ("This is a finely detailed resin cast kit that comes in fifteen components and with five 25mm round bases, with which to make five Vespid Stingwings." - GW Webstore).

Yeah I know and they've been sold out for ages. All I can find is metal ones. If I see resin ones they are super expensive.

It's clearly marked as "temporarily out of stock" on the Canadian website (for both), which just means they ran out of stock and need to make more. This is very different if it said "No longer available". That is when it's discontinued.

The long wait is likely because very few people actually order them nowadays, since Battlesuits are all the rage.

Also if I remember vespids have been finecast for quite some time. I know cuz I wanted to order some when the Tau codex came out for an all auxillary army and them being finecast online put me off.

Lots of stuff has been out of stock for while. I know for Chaos, Demon Princes and Defilers have been out for a while. I am sure if you look through the various factions you will find a bunch of stuff that is also out of stock. I imagine that Games Workshop has a bunch stuff to manufacture waiting in the cue.

Okay thanks for letting me know. Well I put them on email notification. I have a feeling both of them will be important in 8th, and if not still want them anyways.

I know this topic is ancient, but the deathwatch have models in Canada marked as sold out online. Most other things list temporarily out of stock. Does this mean it will eventually be back in stock or is it really really sold out?

There's a tonne of stuff thats been sold out for a very long time. It's very frustrating.

I can't finish the armies that I want to make. I wish they would hurry up and make some new ones.
