Along time ago I had the good intentions to be an active hobbyist, a completionist and great community contributor, then I learn the joy of procrastinating, adult responsibility and the pile of shame that is my unpainted grey plastics.

So it came out I bought the starter box set when it came out it gave my partner and I a new lease of life with GW games and have played it lots since. So here's the start of the journey: Blood for the blood blood and all that!

The name for my Bloodbound war and is the Beastpack. I've used that as a theme to compile some of the models and even though I've used chaos tainted or gifted indivuals to build(obviously as it a chaos army) I've tried to keep in barbarous and visceral, not to demonic.

The Ringmaster, Mr Whippie. (I've yet to give any serious names out, sorry the blogs just bad/crap jokes for now, apologies kinda in advance but if you've got this far in you've not vomited in your mouth to hard or frequently)

Love this model we got the chariot for the characters to make an chaos barbarian for warhammer quest(oldskool edition) among other stuff and this guy kinda sat there until AoS when he justed shouted at me to be a great spawn stand in.
Not always a big random roll fan but it suits the chaos spawn and ol'gorilla limbs here, I can imagine him one minute barrelling into combat smashing heads next turn ambles a couple of meters and plays with debris. Lol.

So you had enough yet? Well there's more bloody blood blood buds.


These little bad boys are my chaos blood hounds I play them as Flesh hounds - I've based them on 30mm bases but will prob move them up to 40mm at some point. I removed or more accurately didnt include the horn/eyestalks/tenticle/spike head bits and the tails, green stuffing over the gaps. I added some tiny khorne icons and collars to a few of the them.




The the centre piece dog has had a bloodletters horns added and a crest bad from a bloodletters sword along with a spiked collar with embossed green stuff icon.

These arent my best paint job but I'm proud of them, because I did them in a sitting to see what I could do with a simple scheme and a deadline and this was the results

On to one of the few models I had a story for when painting. The slaughter priest is very tall and I wanted that to be part of his story having painted a lot of skin tones after doing 20 reavers each unique I wanted to do something different. So this is Asher Red Eye, the guys mother was human and kept as an ogroid slave used and abused. When she past on they ate her and most likely fed him his own mother in the communique stew pot, he to was kept on and brought up as a play thing and pit fighter vs animals, seeing torment everywhere his years spent as child slave, growing up void of any sense of purpose or normality drew to subcousiencly towards the ruinous powers of khorne until a opportunity arose to kill his slaver masters and escape. He still keeps the chains imbedded in his flesh as a momento and got his name from his part ogroid complection and a missing eye from the unarmed fight to escape.

Looking really nice, I love the discoloration on the blood stoker's hand!

Thank you very much I hope you come back to see more rancid delights, I tryied to get a really gross look to this fat fang tooth mutilated guy without going full nurgle. One of the themes of the arm in skin which may seem like a strange thing to say but it should be more clear once I've posted them all up.

A few of my characters are causing the earth to rent open as they stride and bellow on the battle field. I've used a lava effect on the base.

I like the skin on the slaughter priest... it gives a cool almost vampire vibe that fits well.

I am thinking of doing a white scheme for bloodbound, with gold and the trims being a flaming orange, so its cool to see an interesting take on such a cool army.

Huh I hadn't thought about it as a vampire but that's very cool indeed. I think white/cream schemes for khorne are great. They give a great contrast to the grit n grim, blood n gore that is khorne.
I look forward to seeing how you work the orange in and if you use a spot colour to contrast maybe incubi darkness?

Here's a cream khorne scheme I was saving to show in a day or two but here it is as you've been kinda enough to show interest.

The idea here is the brushed copper when paired with the cream gives a viserial flesh and bone vibe that I think fits well with khorne and shows up tiny blood flecks nicely.

Details on this model are excellent, i tryied to pay special attention to get subtitle tones and tiny patterning on to the exposed flesh areas along texture, mat, gloss n satin different in gorely recesses and on areas like the inside n outer cape to give the materials adifferent feel.

And as ive posted one slaughter priest ill do it rival, from the church of the Bloody (strong) Hand.


Not my fav model but i enjoyed the discoloured arm and chance to do even more unusual metal colours.

This is possibly my favourite paint job of my blood bound army as it really inspired me to paint more after a couple of decades of filling my home with grey plastic...And thats greats
Also I posted more pics of this dude below in the pnm forum. Hope you like, feed back as always who be really appreciated and inspiring but generally glad to have people looking and seeing this stuff.

So I got this guy with the character expansion for silver tower, neither me nor my partner (me n her collect together) much liked him so I offered him up to the chaos gods and they took pity on him.
The Firekeeper:
After fierce arguments and bloody infighting over what was needed to protect and further his people he stood defineint of the ruling class in his lodge leaving them for the wilds. Recounting the vows of his lodge he has stripped him self of his urgold by self flagilation and beaten out the runes and symbols of office on his armour decorating them with a new symbol that speaks to him of the direct action his soul yearns for.
