Hi

I have created this site, it allows you to create Kill Teams for Shadow War Armageddon - no downloads, no app, no downloading data files - register and go.

I am looking for feedback, bugs and ideas to take this site to the next level.

http://shadow-war.zone/

Current Features:
  • Create a Kill Team for any faction

  • Create Fighters (and Drones)

  • Add Equipment and Weapons

  • Track points and Promethium Cache

  • Add Skills, Rules and Serious Injuries

  • Rearm and Recruit after battles

  • Features Coming Soon:
  • A more detailed rules and help section for when you play

  • A more streamlined Battle Mode for use during battles

  • Add your photos to showcase your minis against the history and stats of your Kill Team

  • Toggle a Fighter's state during a battle: Down, Pinned, Out of Ammo

Just wanted to say this is an awesome team builder. The only thing I can think of would be a printable version of the list.

    Hi! And Thanks!

Did you see the battle view? I think that will be the final printable version, but it needs tweaks I think.

Yeah, I tried the battle view. It did tale some resizing and printing into a PDF to turn into a viewable sheet, but it works.

Printing is high on the list!

But now the page does not refresh after each change, lots faster now to create a Kill Team.

Another question - any way to swap equipment between models after games?

Swapping equipment and print are the highest items to do - I will post here once done

    Very nice work!

Both my Killteams are up - looking forward to adding pics to match their profiles (Assuming they don't get killed in-game before you add that option! XD)

I only don't like the mandatory names. I don't name my yoffs until they become boyz!

    Quick update:

It is now a lot easier to create a Kill Team that already has games under its belt. Simply select the new checkbox when creating a Kill Team and the 1,000 pts limit will be ignored and you can add Skills, Injuries, Equipment to your heart's content without needing to "Complete a Game".

Manual Mode is now a lot easier to use because the page reloads are all gone now when editing a Kill Team.

It sounds really cool and with some neat features, but one of the things that I enjoy with things like Scrollbuilder.com or the SWA equivalent Killteams.com is that I do not have make an account and login in.

Would it be possible to be able to use the Kill Team creation, without having to register and all that?
Of course that may you not let you save your team, and use the campaign features, but still.

This is a well requested feature and something I am really considering.

It would work like this, what do you think

    - you come to the site on device 1
    - you make a kill team and this effectively creates a user account for you with a bogus email and password
    - you return to device 1 a few days later and you still get your kill team
    - you then want to on device 2 (your phone or your work machine) you are then invited to input your email and password
    - this then effectively makes that account and any kill teams in it yours
    - the kill teams would be tired to that one machine (device 1) until you created a proper account

    Make sense?

    Yea, that makes sense.
Not needing to make an account to use the basic functionality, and having the option to "upgrade" later seems like a good idea.

    Campaigns are now live!

Find them in the top left menu when logged in.

Create a Kill Team, create a Campaign and invite your buddies to it.

    Current features:

    - Add other Kill Teams to a Campaign and the other user gets an email invite
    - Simple "live search" for finding other Kill Teams to invite
    - When the invite is declined or accepted the Campaign creator gets a confirmation
    - Assign existing battles you have already entered into a Campaign
    - Set who won or lost in a battle - or it it was a draw
    - Private and public Campaigns
    - Leader board

You will then get a very nifty leaderboard which is a sortable table showing:

    - Points
    - "Ranking" points based on 25pts per skill and 15pts per stat increase
    - Wins
    - Losses
    - Promethium Caches

Demo here of the table https://www.dropbox.com/s/qgm1cycwhwuawjy/Screenshot%202017-06-06%2018.52.28.png?dl=0

The battle edit screen looks like this and is automatically shown after completed a battle. Or skip it and come back to it later via the new My Battles screen https://www.dropbox.com/s/uaaj8d99b4gpk6a/Screenshot%202017-06-06%2018.55.19.png?dl=0

BOTH you and your enemy in a Campaign can edit the details of a battle. This improves transparency regarding when the battle was added to the Campaign. It just means when the second person enters their stats and skills they need not assign it to the Campaign. When another user adds a battle and assigns you as their opponent you will get an email.

    Still to come:

    - Assigning Hatred to an enemy Fighter
    - Campaign images
    - Battle images

I want to hear more ideas!

You can now create Kill Teams anonymously!

    https://shadow-war.zone/

Its been asked for a lot, but now it is here. You can create a Kill Team without signing up. You can later of course provide a username, email and password to "upgrade" and gain full access thus making the Kill Team yours.

    Points of note:

    - Anonymous Kill Teams will be deleted after 1 month.
    - You can create a single Kill Team .
    - Anonymous Kill Teams cannot add images.
    - Anonymous Kill Teams cannot be viewed publicly and will not appear on the Kill Team lists.
    - Anonymous Kill Teams cannot be added to Campaigns.

What this does do is enable users to see and use the site's main functionality (making a Kill Team) without needing to provide any info!

This may all change depending on feedback. Its a new feature so please do let me know about bugs!

    Thanks
    Jake

The Roster View doesn't seem to show the "Miss next mission" boxes checked properly. I've just added my Chaos Space Marines Kill Team: https://shadow-war.zone/view-killteam/4434/drakhar-s-ravagers

You can see that the leader has a Head Wound, but the Roster View doesn't tick the box for "Miss next mission".

Just wanted to say thanks for creating this tool. We used it to create lists last week for our first SW:A game and it was very useful.

    This tool is amazing.

I, and my group use it for every game. Cheers for the device friendly views.

One observation: When you clone a Chaos marine that has a Nurgle mark, the clone has the mark, but the clone's T value in it's stat line does NOT show the extra toughness. There seems to be no way to "fix" the clone's T stat?

Is shadow wars not really supported anymore? When on the website I was looking for the box sets they used to have for teams but they are gone. Does that mean no more updates or new additions?

I think the staff of both GW and FW are fully saturated with just 8th edition 40k right now, but this game was a big sell, I'm confident they'll get back to it.

    I really dig this site!

Is there any way to get a one or two page printout with the weapon and equipment stats listed?
