I'm in the process of building a Kill-Team and was reading about the Leaders. I know that each Kill-Team needs to have a Leader, but I'm not sure what happens if they're Out-Of Action or killed. Would you be forced to expend promethium to afford a new leader or could you nominate someone else in the squad to be the new KTL?

It's on page 100. When they you have to name some non recruit to become the new leader, changing their role but keeping everything else.
So you'd have to buy a new leader, which can be difficult.

I also think that, technically, you aren't even allowed to buy a new leader since you can only have 1 and if you replace the old you have 1 and if you couldn't it's because you have only recruits left and you loose your warband.
I think they meant to have your warband degrade until it's completely broken and you have to start over, but that seems pretty silly.

If your Leader dies in the post-mission sequence, you choose another non-New Recruit model to become the Leader. You can never actually buy a new Leader.

If it's just that the leader isn't taking part in the mission (due to a previous injury, or perhaps you just don't want to use your Leader in this mission) you just choose one of your models with the highest Ld and use them. Same as if your Leader goes Down or Out of Action during a game.
