I'm looking into getting a knight, but I don't know what to build it with.
Should I use all shooty (Gatling+battle+stormspear) or go for a more combaty one. Considering new edition, I think that ap3 is about -2, which is pretty good, and I do need some range support
Currently I run WE, maelstrom of gore and a mix of aux but because of no formations in 8th, no need for me to worry about fitting it in.
I know he is good in combat anyway with s10 ap2 and stomps however I'm puzzled.
I don't want to have to magnetise, too much could go wrong.
Any ideas?

I find eBay a bit dodgy, and would probably get in trouble at the store.
I think I'll just take battle cannon Gatling cannon though

Go double donk with twin gattling cannons.

If you need barrels, look for a guy with a Maulerfiend and beg for the extra forgefiend parts (the Hades Autocannon and Ecto-plasma cannons, the latter works as chaosified battle cannons).

Probably best you not say that too loudly. People don't seem to happy with the new battle cannons from what i gather.

I'd definatly hold off till 8th edition. the Battlecanon may indeed be very useful.

I don't think people have fully clued in that one of the PROBLEMS with 7th edition GW wants to address is your guys dying before they can do anything. 8th edition I think is deliberatly toning down some of the stupid absurd firepower out there

You know that unless you specifically SAY you got second gatling from ebay they have no way to know it's from ebay even if they had some stupid idea one can't buy bits from elsewhere? As long as it's plastic it's genuine(well okay somebody COULD make plastic copies but that's way too expensive for bootleg copies...They would be loosing tons of money) and one plastic gun is same as others.

How would you get in trouble at your store for buying from eBay?

From what we've seen so far it looks like guns that originally just flat out had high volumes of fire are superior to ones that used the templates to get hits, so it stands to reason that the Avenger Gattling Cannon would be superior to the battle cannon (and possibly the melta cannon too, depending on it's stats). plus it's the easiest out of the two to make; just grab two hades autocannons off of a forge fiend and presto, two gattling cannons. they come pre-chaosified too!
