Ancient Venerable Dark Angels Dreadnought

So, I'm cranking through my Eldar and need to then hit my Dark Angels hard, but after that I'm really having an urge to play a chaos army, but which one....
Plague marines look great, but I hate the Nurgle demons...just don't do it for me at all.
On the other side, I love Slaaneshi demons (and their anti-Eldar position) but hate the look and concept of Noise Marines.
Fallen have promise, but I don't know if they will truly be a real chaos force.
Thousand Sons have some great models....I just can't paint any more blue/yellow/gold right now after doing Iyanden. Their heresy colours would be fun, however.
Thoughts?

Well Emperors Children would be a good foil to your Eldar, so I'm gonna say them. We may see new noise marine models in the future, and you can always just run a slaanesh daemon army and skip the Chaos marines

I voted death guard, but thats mostly because of the "new shiny" effect

Go Death Guard, new models on the way, don't have to take many Nurgle demons (maybe just one in case of apotheosis, not that we can even confirm that is a thing in 8th)

my gut feeling is Apotheosis will only be a thing in narrative games. in matched play, apotheosis is "Free points" and thus is likely be to "off the table" I mean, if you have a game on the table top where a chaos aspiring champion gets aspotheos, you've just traded a 14 point unit for a 145 point unit.

Death guard or thousand son, just because they will actually be getting support right now. Personally voted DG, and hopefully the new chaos marines won't require demonic support just to be decent.

Yeah that is a good point, if you are starting a Death Guard force, a DP doesn't have to be purchased until much later if it's not your HQ. So OP could hold off buying one until we saw rules.

Maybe Slaanesh Demons with a different marine concept? You could do 30k EC avoid noise. Or a different slaanesh group like The Violators? They're Blue / Silver and stay away from 'noise' stuff, have their own themes and background in Ben Counters - Daemon World novel.
