I... actually don't know. Help?

So I finally, after years of searching, managed to get a hold on 5 old OOP metal Wulfen. The only problem is that they don't have the weapons I want them to have, twin claws, thunder hammers, shields and grenade launchers. I'd prefer to not cut into them though... you have any tips?

Wait for the new edition to come out.
What is effective this edition may not be next edition.

I would hold off from hacking them apart. Wait until you know their rules in 8th edition before you add weapon options that may no longer exist etc. In some ways I agree with you that it might be a shame to cut bits off the old models but a conversion can make them look cool and unique. I suggest putting the weapons on their backs or holstered to their legs to look realistic. In my opinion the Wulfen would charge into combat with animalistic instinct and then when the battle gets tough think about using their mechanical weapons when just clawed fists might not be good enough. The choice is yours!
