So 8th has managed to pull me back in, after selling off my 2nd Tyranid army in 2015 Im preparing to once again embark on having a new Hive Fleet.

This time around, Ive got better equipment, and rather than using plasticard Ill be 3D printing everything.

So far, Ive started prototyping Tyrant heads and wings, as well as 'cute' hormagaunt/termagant heads. All of them have three eyes, and have a more dragon/demon texture to them. I plan on also making bits that can be added to the carapace with
the same textures to make everything fit in a bit better. Im going to do weapons too, Ive always hated the Termagant weapons and depending on our new weapons in 8th, Ill make some custom stuff for the bioweapons that emerge.

Im printing off the first prototype set of wings right now, and as with all the parts Im going to have to do adjustments to make them fit perfectly. Ive taken measurements but you never really know until you try it with the real model.

Anyway, here's what they look like so far:

C&C welcome!

I think they look pretty cool. Suitably unsettling and alien, but believable.

Thanks! Im really looking forward to doing the Carnifex and Trygon heads, because word on the street is that the Trygon is going to be pretty awesome.
