Hi, please explain how cleansing flames from GK work

So 9 inches away from my purifier, i put a marker, 7 inches away from that marker in a circle is 3 different enemy units.

Now do I roll 2d6 to see how many waves come out, or do i roll 2d6 for every unit in turn, and then do i roll to hit with my ballestic skill?

and then how do roll to wound, pleas ehelp :(.

And then, like part 4) can you shoot this from a rhino? Since its a nova attack, but novai s under witch fire

Q: On Cleansing Flame – if two enemy units are in range, are there 2D6 hits divided amongst the two enemy units, or 2D6 hits for each enemy unit? If the latter, how many times do you roll the 2D6 – once, or twice?
A: Each enemy unit hit suffers 2D6 hits. Roll separately for each unit.
Q: Can you cast blessings, maledictions and nova powers from Open-topped vehicles?
A: Transported units can only use witchfire powers – and may not use beam, focussed witchfire or nova powers.

As Ghaz implies, you don't place any marker as the center - the range is measured from the Psyker (in the case of a BoP, you select one model as per page 159). There is no roll to hit - Nova's hit automatically.
The roll to wound is exactly the same as anything else - not sure why this is an issue? Could you clarify the problem?

Step 1) See how many units are within 9" of purifiers
Step 2) Roll 2D6 for enemy unit 1
Step 3) Unit 1 suffers automatic hits equal to the amount rolled
Step 4) Roll to wound
Step 5) enemy makes his saves
Step 6) remove casualties

Repeat steps 2-6 for each enemy unit that is withing 9" of the purifiers. This means that each unit gets hit between 2 and 12 times.

You don't have to be happy when you lose, just don't make winning the condition of your happiness.

Sorry, wrong terminalogy, by marker i simply meant 7 inches from that location, not an actual blast or citidal marker

Confusion came in from, being thinking you shoot a nova power at a location, so shoot a nova at a location and it emits out of there.

Indeed. Specifically because 'Psychic Powers and Transports' in the Transports section of the rules tells us that Psykers may only target enemy units with Witchfire powers, and cannot attempt to manifest any other kind of psychic power.

Hi,

Its a nova so the power emanates from the psyker.

you roll two D6 against each individual unit within 9" of the psyker.

You add the two D6 together, that is how many hits you have. You do this for each individual unit in 9 inches. (So you can roll 2d6 several times if there are a lot of people near you)

You then use the Strength 5 AP 4 profile of cleansing flame to resolve wounds against enemies just like you would a shooting attack.
